Ebay canceled a pittsburgh steeler ticket auction I was running last night because I was offering the parking passes along with it...I wasnt going over face, and put their legal blurp in there that they require and did everything as to what I thought was legal-I even checked completed auctions to make sure I was doing everything right. so I have no clue what I did wrong- we just want to get our money back for the tickets,

So I thought I would do the auctions seperate- the passes on one ebay auction and since ebay wants to be a-wholes, I will do the tickets through Yahoo.

Do you think if I make refrence to check my auction watch logo for event tickets that Ebay will find that illegal and scrap my parking pass auction?

Thanks for any thoughts
Jen

I don't know why ebay does what it does. But if you live in or near Pittsburgh couldn't the tickets be easily sold locally by word of mouth or in the Thrifty Nickel classifieds?

i find that fan websites that have message type boards are great ways to unload tickets......i have found plenty of tickets on ebay that are above face value when i look for my teams tickets.........i bet it was either a competitor or just a busy body that emailed safe harbor and then the genius there played god with your auction

We have tried the classifieds, the problem is the tickets face for $1500 and the passes for $250...Nobody wants to spend that kind of money, they try to haggle you down for less then what you paid!!!
It is a pain having your phone ring off of the hook. It appears that Yahoo is leaving the ticket auctions alone and dosent have the requirement that you can not offer anything else but the tickets with the auction...I guess my main question should be does anyone make refrence to the auction watch store front in their Ebay Auctions...Is it against the ole' mighty Ebay Gods to do that.

$1500? For a football game? Must be luxury sky box seats for that. Or season tickets.

I see your problem now. Everybody want a bargain. Good luck with it.

Take 'em to http://www.openseats.com and try to sell there. I have never sold but have bought tickets from individuals who advertise there.

By the way, I have tickets to the 11/25 Titans/Steelers game in Nashville. I am sooooo ready for some football, and not this weenie stuff called pre-season.

I am doing a happy dance....I listed the tickets on Yahoo yesterday, we decided to break them up by game- I have sold two sets of games alone for $750.00 with the parking passes-One game I didnt list another guy bought and I have bids on three other sets!!! I thought Yahoo would end up stinking what a suprise!

Well Ebay being sticklers lost some good money on this one! I still love Ebay for my other stuff though!! I may start researching Yahoo a little more here and there.

Thanks everyone for your help!!!!

Amen to that, the Steelers stink!!! I could have killed my husband when he re bought the Steeler seat rights this year. We have 4 kids and cant go to the games anymore anyways!!
Now cmon I didnt scalp, they are buying the tikets for face $75.00 a piece, and spending $150.00 for the parking pass...What a good deal huh?
