breinhold	posted on August 22, 2001 03:51:16 PM there is a doubleclick spywear bug on the pop up advertising. adaware catches it everytime. i thought aw was going to stop this?

Fist they lied about it.....then they said that that is one of the ways that they make $$$.....so either shut-up & live with it....or go away. Then there was the report from them that it would be just once a week. More BS. One of their paid apoligists should be along son and say that there was an error. Yeah....uh-huh. Just like Ebay and any big corporation....watch the actions.......the words have no value. Dr. Trooth
nedtrader	posted on August 22, 2001 05:14:23 PM Doc, If you hate it so much, why do you stay? Despite some flaws, I see no reason to disparage AW. They need advertising money; why would they care if you click on it? They probably get paid CPM. - Ned
breinhold	posted on August 22, 2001 05:45:54 PM first off I love aw and the pop up adds although annoying are an evil necessity for profit and that is ok ...but the spyware bug from double click attached to it is intrusive, sneaky,wrong and should be illegal. if I was followed by a stranger through a shopping mall every step of the way I would be just as p.o.'d.
