I was anxiously awaiting my 2nd remittance from half.com since my out-of-pocket expenses were/are so high and just wondered how long it typically takes for them to get the $ into a checking account. I am not waiting on a check from them but a direct deposit. The first one came excactly 7 days after the billing period (August 7 to be exact)yet the one for the period ending the 15th has yet to show up.

I think, but am not sure, that they send the checks/direct deposits the 15th of the month following the transaction. So if you had any transactions from August 15th on, you will be paid September 15th. At least that's how they work my account.

It's there on the site somewhere.

bluepalomo: Is the check you are expecting for more than $50? If so, you should receive a check real soon. If not, then you will have to wait until after the end of the month to receive your check.

I have my checks from Half.com direct deposited into my account. Direct deposits are made twice a month regardless of your sales level.

I'm sure all of that is clear as mud.

As I mentioned, I'm waiting on a direct deposit. As it turns out, I just checked my credit union and they just credited it this morning so it took them a little longer than last time. Unreal...they must be making an obscene amount of $ there. Makes me sick...especially considering they charge customers more for s+h and even manage to skim a healthy amount from that which is undoubtedly illegal. Well, illegal if you don't have access to ebay's legal team.

It took them 3 months to send me my first check. I had to email complaints forever before they finally gave me my money. I don't sell on there anymore.

I think my half.com direct deposits average about 5-7 business days to get credited to my Wells Fargo account...

our money showed up in our account today, 9 days after the end of the period. check again, they must have been running late. of course we received no notice that payment would be late.

Averages roughly one week after the pay period. I hate having to front all the expenses, but they don't deadbeat me and my profits tend to be higher on half than eBay.

I just check to see what Half. really says on this. With direct deposit you will get your money"Aproxitmitly" one week sooner.

My earlier point of reference is correct for direct deposit, but they don't include weekends so it's more like 9 days before the money shows up.

Again, this is a bit long, especially for books sold early in the period and just ok for the books at the end of the period. I sort of feel that previous periods partly finance the ones that follow.

Selling on eBay, where we pay at the end of the period might partly help balance selling on Half where we pay up front.

It would be nice if Half would pay off faster--there's no reason why someone should ever be more than 7 days past a close day and it really should be more like 5. That's what electronic deposit is all about.

Hi - good thread.
We used Half.com for awhile. But, their regulations such as the payments (use our money for their operating expenses)...
Plus - fees, but mailing requirements... we found prohitibitive.
We use eBay and bargainandhaggle now.
