For the last two nights, when I try and refresh or use the back key while on eBay I get a page of HTML only! It's like I'm looking at the sorce code for the page. Anyone else experiencing this? It is quite bothersome. Is it eBay or me? If it's just me, anyone know how to stop it from happening? Thanks! Sulyn

Might be helpful if you mention what browser you are using... Might solve the problem if you update to the most current version...

I'm currently using IE 5.5.

I just tried viewing some eBay pages using my version of IE 5.0. Seems that when I tried to load some I got the message about not being able to display the page, which would then load if I hit the "refresh" button...

I've also had problems loading pages with Netscape 4.75. The browser keeps shutting down because of illegal instructions...

I could be completely wrong, but I'm guessing that the folks at eBay have hidden some javascript or something similar in the page listings that is causing the problems since I didn't have any problems until recently...

You may want to contact the folks at [email protected] to inquire about this, I've been meaning to do that for some time now, but have never managed to get around to doing it. But it does get very annoying having to restart my browser every 10 minutes or so...

Chances are that it's a problem with eBay and not your computer, but you may want to check if there are any updates available to your browser anyway. I don't normally use IE so I'm not sure what the current version is...

Well, whatever the problem, it cleared itself up! It has happened the last two nights at about the same time. It seems to be short term. It only lasted about 30 minutes tonight. I guess it doesn't matter unless I was wanting to snipe.

That's one of the reasons why I've never bothered to contact eBay. The problem seems to be intermittent, worse on some nights than on others, disappears completely at times. I've never been able to notice any obvious pattern...

Glad to hear it's cleared up though, wouldn't want you to be unable to snipe...
