Looks like someone from eBay read my post about "branding" on eBay.

It seems eBay will allow banner ads by non-eBay sellers to link off site, but eBay seller banner ads can not link off site.

Slaves in a company town. Pretty soon buyers will be paying us with eBay script and we must spend it at the eBay company store.
