I got this in a lot and know NOTHING about baskets. Is it some common import or might it be an Anerican Indian basket? It struck me as prettier than usual although I know that does not mean anything value wise.

I hope someone can give you an answer. You never know what you have. I went to an auction once and saw an old, but a little ratty basket. I thought I would bid, with $50 being my high bid. The basket went for $1,000.00! You could have blown me over with a feather.
