It seems to be the consensus here that ending auctions on weekends--esp. Friday or Sat. nights--should be avoided at all cost. That's too bad, because it's when I'm the most relaxed. It's also a time when I'm usually home to answer bidders' questions. I also do quite a bit of surfing on Fri. and Sat. nights. Am I the only one?

I think so.

I've always had drastically reduced traffic and bids on Friday and Saturday.

I just checked the stats for the last 3 days on my website and it looks as if the evening traffic was strong on Thursday, with a similar period around 5-7 pm on Friday and 7-10 pm on Saturday (PDT)...

The total daily hits were surprisingly similar in quantity as was the clickthrough for the image enhancements....

I'm selling some mid-high end collectibles right now so that may account for the stats....I noted some brisk international traffic (at least that's where the IP's resolve to, mainly Japan and Taiwan) in the late evenings...

I, too, do a fair amount of surfing on Friday and Saturdday, mainly to set up the snipes for Sunday night.....but, if an interesting item catches my attention...well...

Actually, I MAKE all of our auctions end on Saturday (or Sunday if I have to)! If it's a BIN auction I'll start it anytime as almost all of them sell anyway. (opening and BIN option same price)

Weekends work for me.

Your results may vary.

I used to list to end on Saturday nights because I thought my piddly little items would get lost in the Sunday glut, and I was happy with the results.

I use Sundays almost exclusively now with somewhat better results.

Mondays & Fridays just bit it for me, prior to BIN.

I list on Thursdays out of convenience. First, it's a good night ending wise, but also, when I have any auction that's going to cost me more than 30 cents to list anyway, I go ahead and tack on the other 10 cents for 10 days. So Thurs + 10 days = Sunday ends.

Geez, I've been awake too long... I'm rambling like a speedfreak.

I list Auction trough out the week, I start on monday if I don't have bidding by wed I start slowing on my listing alot untill sat night best bidding days I found are mon. tues, wed, all day sunday.

This can vary because the weather around the coutry effects selling and buying..

if its to wet to hot or cold anywhere in the world bidding will incress no matter the day of the week or time of year..
