I bought an item under my buying name. Seller sends short, terse email with payment, no PP or BP so I just send a check (this ID has over 200 f/b, all positive).
2 weeks later I get a letter back from her with my check saying she accepts only MO and cashiers' checks. There was nothing in her EOA email and I buy so much (100s of items per week) that I never noticed, and didn't go check either. Received this on Sept.4
So I go to the bank, get a CC and send it to her on the 5th. Apparently it's not there yet, because today she negged me!!!!
Now I did send the CC, I have the stub which is proof of purchase - it's in her name. Is there anything I can do?
This seller is a disgrace, her communication skills totally non existent. How difficult would it be, after receiving the check, to send a quick email saying sorry, pls send MO or CC? Nope, had to put it in an envelope, stamp it and mail it and wait 2 weeks for that on top of it!
Any chance I can get this removed? What about the count against me on e-Bay?
Thanks for any advice, I have bought over 1000 items in the last year (I resell at B&M venues) and never had a problem.....

Thanks, I was afraid of that.
Oh well, guess it's better to have that as a buyer than a seller - it just irks me that some sellers are so unprofessional - shows me a good lesson of what NOT to do though especially since she sells in the same category I do....

You can, of course, return the feedback for being so unprofessional after you get your merchandise. Frankly not accepting a check and not waiting for you to resend payment are the real tipoffs of that fact.
