From my sister-in-law's scanner:
An airplane is at the airport with a bomb on it ... the swat team is there
Shanksville has an airplane down ... no wreckage left larger than 5 ft. It is a 767
Galleria Mall CLOSED
On school all parents must pick up their kids. (Near crash site)
All medical personnell must stay at work. Fire depts on alert
We are told to stay OFF THE PHONE!
God, this is only Johnstown ...
I have a girl in NYC near Grand Central Station on IM. She is really scared
I have a cousin who had a meeting today at the World Trade Center. He has a 2 year old daughter.
We could use some prayers here ... I am starting to get scared, too. We were a military target during WWI and WWII because of the steel mills.

You don't have to worry. They don't want military targets. In in NJ and our phones are useless - jammed. Lat thing I heard was the PA plane was forced down by us.

Unfortunately, we do have some targets that I was unaware of until now.
It is not good here right now. I have been posting in the Round Table as news comes in.

The plane was a hijacking. There was an air phone call to 911

It is really scary here now. Everything is virtually locked down. All businesses are closed, it is weird ....
They have been stopping buses and searching everyone on board, major roads are closed.
One man came in and said how it is like a strange dream ... that a major portion of our town is totally deserted, even WalMart is empty and closed.
I cannot wait until my oldest gets home in 20 minutes .... I will give her the biggest hug she has ever gotten!
I am sure there is alot going on here now that we do not know about .. and that is what scares me most of all.
In the meantime, my prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

A Special Services van with sirens roaring just flew past my store ......
That cannot be a good sign ~ I have NEVER seen one here before

Yes, she is home now ... and getting tired of me hugging her 
She is watching the coverage in TV now. I figure she may as well watch it first hand - then I will answer questions as it goes.
Her teacher's sister died in the World Trade Center this morning.

she'll just have to 'put up' with it.
i'm very sorry to hear about her teacher's sister.
so many of the flights were heading to l.a. i'm preparing myself to hear that someone i knew was on one.
i don't like this feeling of helplessness. i'm starting to get ANGRY.
