The PA Police stopped a Van Carrying TNT Explosive on NJ Turnpike, they beleive this van was on it's way to blow-up the GW Bridge.

I hope you are right because with all the hijackers dead and probably unidentifiable, then they maybe able to know for sure who was responsible for this carnage.

God Bless America!

Hi:

Do you have a source for this item? PA cops on Turnpike? Is that Port Authority or Pennsylvania police. Neither patrol the NJ Turnpike.

Have heard NOTHING about this on the remaining news stations here in the NYC area. [not that it means that it did not happen]

The majority of the NYC Metro area TV stations had their transmission points on the WTC. Only CBS, channel 2 remained on. ABC, [Channel 7] cut a deal with UHF Channel
68 about half-way thru the day and was/is able to start operating. This AM there is still only Channel 2 for those that do not have cable.
Would love to hear an update.

Nothing about it on the news I watched. But there was plenty about the FBI tracing down men in Florida...with Bin Laben photos in the car...airplane manuals in Arabic...trained pilots. This is looking very frightening. As the Post pointed out, the Taliban ALREADY has human shields in place...those religious workers on trial over there for proselytizing. A very creative madman has been hard at work these past months...

9:30AM (Central Time) - 09/12/2001

Have been watching the news since 8:00AM Central Time yesterday, and have not heard such a report, would doubt any authenticity in such a report.

I heard it as well on my news. Siad they were stopped at the bridge with enough explosives to do major damage.

Confirming glassperson's report.

There were NO explosives in the van. This was confirmed by the police last night after the initial reports came out.

It doesn't surprise me that some local reports don't have their facts straight yet.

In fact, CNN kept reporting the State Dept. was bombed yesterday well after it had been debunked.
