I am starting my 4th year on eBay and just when you thought you had seen it all, somebody comes up with even MORE outrageous terms! I ran across an auction this morning with the following in their TOS:
"PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN NO LESS THAN 7 DAYS...NO EXCEPTIONS! IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION ABOUT IT GETTING TO ME, SEND IT PRIORITY OR LOSE OUT AND GET A NEG! MY COMPUTER IS PROGRAMMED TO AUTOMATICALLY ISSUE A NPB AND NEG FEEDBACK AT THE START OF DAY 8, AND I CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! I HAVE TRIED FOR TOO LONG TO MAKE THIS EASY, BUT AM TIRED OF BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!"
But this isn't the end of it! This seller hasn't had a feedback or auction since October of 1999!! Now you jump back on 2 years later with TOS from h*ll????
Oh puuhhaaaaleeeeeze let me hit the "BID" button on YOUR auctions!!!!

WOW, sounds like someone I'd like to do business with! There are some things I, as a buyer, don't have control over.
Then again, I just got a payment returned to me, that was sent on 8/29, I switched 2 numbers in the address.
And, right now, there's no guarantee that anything that is mailed across the country, that would need to go via airplane would ever get there!

Should I also point out he's illiterate? "No less than 7 days" means the earliest date to receive payment is DAY 8! LOL! Rude and uneducated, a popular combo.

dland, I didnt' even catch that. I'd love to bid on all his auctions and then not send payment until 7, so that he would get it on day 10-12. When he negs me, I could respond with that. You said in your TOS: PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN NO LESS THAN 7 DAYS. 10 days is not less than 7 days!
