I want to start putting a flag on auctions I list but I don't know how...can someone clue me in? Do you put it in the description using some sort of HTML coding?
thanks

Right in your description (or above, below it, wherever) just enter this:
<img src=URL CODE FOR FLAG HERE>

I'm sorry to be so dumb, but does anyone have a URL code that shows the flag...?

Sorry, Keziak - I thought you had put the flag on your server.
I know pongo.com has state flags, but no US flags.
Here you can find a couple animated flags:

Keziak...
You just find a pic of a flag you like...copy it to your drive...upload it to wherever you store your images...and treat it like any other image.

Oh yes...it's a wonderful idea. I plan to do it...the flag says it all. I put one in my template this morning.

I use netscape composer to build my auctions and paste them into the auction manager. All of the pictures I have on the auctions work but the flag. It is only a box with a red X. What am I doing wrong?

I have seen the posts, manyirons.
Not everyone is going to agree, not everyone is going to add flags or gifs to their auctions. As long as the posts are respectful and don't violate the CGs (and at this point, they don't), then the discussion will be allowed to continue.
For future reference, if you are concerned about a thread or post, please email [email protected] for a speedier response.

Hi Keziak, Zippoholic instructed me how to put a flag in my listings,exactly like the way Toke described. I just started to list again today,believe it or not inserting the flag has made it easier for me it does give me a since of prideand unity. I use to Live on 23rd St. and 1rst. Ave. New York City, from our terrace I watched the World Trade Center, Twin Towers being erected over a very long period of time,what an enjoyable skyline. then, I saw it crumble in seconds.

You can use my flag. Just drop the code below in your item description.

thanks again. I managed to get one from the other thread....but it was a picture of a battle tank. That's not the message I want to intend at all. I will try again.

Correction: the tank photo was still on my auction so it did NOT come from any thread here. I went back through and it appears that I got a photo jpg from another, older, auction mixed up with the new one. I don't know what happens to the flag I tried to use,but probably I was doing it wrong.
