i wasn't going to participate any more in the threads on this whole situation, let alone start one. but i just got this in my email and i think it's important. i don't know anything about framastock.com. maybe someone else here does. but i do REALLY AGREE that if we all bought just ONE share of u.s. stock, especially given how easy it is now with the internet, what a GREAT sock in the eye it would be to the terrorist who obviously have as at least one of their goals to shake our economy. what if we *did* all band together, and the u.s. stock market did rise!

Everyone:

There are many threads now open in the Ebay Outlook Forum that do not apply to E-bay activities and should be opened in the Round Table Forum. As of now, we are going to leave those threads open but in the future, they may be locked. Also in the future, please open any new threads in the Round Table.
Please be aware, we are not trying to stifle conversation, but despite the events of Tuesday, people are still doing business on eBay and need the eBay forum for business advice.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

kitty,

I intend to; thanks for posting this as it's a good, concrete way for folks to do something constructive to show their support.

When that bell closes Monday, I hope we've shown those b@stards they can't beat us!

I have to admit I never bought stocks but if someone can point to a place on the net that I can do it easily I will.

Sorry, I usually invest in new things for my business so stocks were never high up on my list of things to do.

Thanks!

fountainhouse,

smitty,

thanks for allowing this to stay. next to giving blood and donating to the red cross, which was/is of immediate importance, this is the best suggestion i've yet heard of a significant, tangible action everyone can take if they've got 18 bucks. i'll be emailing it to everyone i can think of. everyone, feel free to do the same.

becky,

give http://www.frameastock.com/shares.html a try. sounds pretty easy, and good that they don't require you to open a trading account to buy a share or two, so anyone can do it.

kitty, aka joan

edited to add in red cross donations to the 'great idea' list
