I was wondering how everyones hits and bids were presently. Our counters seem to read a bid lower than usual, nothing really remarkable. However, bids seem to be way down. How is everyone doing?

Mine have been way down since Tuesday, but seem to be picking up a bit today...figure if there is no more big news, sales will be better next week.

I think it has a lot to do with what your are offering. My sideline is doing ok, though not as active as usual, with early bids and lots of page views.

My main category is way off, with hardly any activity at all. I expect it will be a while before normal bidding and buying resumes. I did notice that there are a lot of bargain hunters out there, with low end auctions and low opening bids more active than the pricier items.

Even in the flags category it is very hit or miss, though I expect the run up in American Flag prices will subside as quickly as it rose. Some cheapie 3 x 5 flags (usually made in China) went for $500+ though I suspect the buyer was not serious, but rather sending a message. I also noticed a flag jacket was being sold to enable the seller to contribute to the victim's fund, but very imprecise as to which fund and what percentage. It was bid up pretty good.

My worst auctions right now are for belly dance tapes, though I am hardly surprised.

My bids and hits for the most part have been higher this week, after Tuesday that is.

Everything is slow, that is to be expected. We all need time to heal. It's tough to pull myself away from the coverage...it's a way to keep connected. eBay will live on and so will we. Take a break, talk to your family and neighbors. We'll get back to business next week. In the meantime, count our blessings, hug your wife and kids, and God bless us...one and all.

Sadly I report things are slow for me... If anyone wanted a deal of the century, they should've looked at my auctions! Hits are way down, on the other hand I've been buying up deals like crazy - so no complaints here!
Did I type that out loud???

I have not one bid - and when I look at going going there are a lot of bids at opening price by the same buyers snapping stuff up at low prices.

One of my auctions had 117 hits and ended at a penny. Competitors auctions of the same item ended in the $30 range on average. Had a nutball emailing my bidders and scaring them away claiming I was a fraud.

The winner of this auction lives in Canada and expects me to be able to mail a 5lb item that must go in a box for the $6 rate I gave for U.S. geez
