This happens to me way to much! I am working away. Getting things done in the middle of the night, early morning hours and out of the blue I get a AW servers currently unavailable page. Brings me to a screeching halt! Ruins my whole plan to get things done!

My question is Does anyone know if this is an every Sunday night event. Is there a schedule of down time for maintenance somewhere? Or do the just look and say - hey, that RichieRich is on lets take the server down?

Hi richierich

There is scheduled maintenance until 04:00am PST. Notification is usually posted on the Anouncements page (scroll down to the bottom task bar).

I don't *think* the techs schedule them just to annoy you, but I could be wrong

Thanks, Michelle!

Do you know if this is an every Sunday night schedule maintenance? Or is it just when they need to do something special?

Also, Do you know how much in advance they post it?

You know I spent all my time (about 18 hours a day) between ebay and AW and I have NEVER looked at the annoucement board here. Guess I better start, huh!

Usually by this time of night I have quit for the day but I may be without a computer for most of Monday and was trying to get my listing for Monday scheduled. Planning for the worst here - we are putting in a new DSL service and so far this painless switch over has been a disaster! I have been forced to use a dial up service for the past month and I just do not know how anyone lives like this!

Sunday night maintenance is unusual. AW *usually* schedules their maintenance for Thursday nights to coincide with eBay's downtime.

Notice is usually posted several hours in advance and the lateness of tonight's notification leads to the assumption there is something special that needs attention.

Checking the Announcement Board regularly is a good idea - I usually check before I start work in case there is something out of the ordinary happening.

Go get some sleep
