Goto.com is a pay per click search engine. From time to time I've bought #1 placement for the following keywords "eBay" and "eBay.com" and the usual going rate is about $0.30 for the #1 position.

Today eBay has purchased #1 position for each keyword at $50.00 to advertise their eBay's "Auction for America" Relief Fund.

I find if very hard to believe that eBay can afford $50.00 per click (when I had #1 position at $0.30 I get about 400 hits per day on each keyword) and give "all" the money to the relief fund. How much do you think eBay will pocket and claim "Administrative Expense".

OK. I just went there and confirmed your findings, but...

eBay is not paying the $50.00. Nobody is. It is a free "public service announcement".
eBay wants to raise $100M in 100 days for relief assistance. 100% of the proceeds raised from auctions and cash donations will go to help victims in NYC and D.C. Public Service Listing.
How can you see what is being paid?
Thanks!
