Tuesday and Thursday auctions lasting 7 days have been my best. Have tried other days too, but seem to have better luck with the T days. Good luck to you.

Sunday used to be a great day. But now it's a day to avoid. If ebay's going to go down, it will be a Sunday. I've had good luck on Mon, Tues and Thurs. Fridays are usually the worst for me.

I always list on Thursday nights around 8 pm central time and go 10 days...so they end on Sunday night. Has worked well for me, although ebay did go down one sunday night a few months ago and my final bids were terrible. I had bidders emailing me afterwards telling me they were trying to bid but couldn't.

I list a couple almost everyday, but Sunday to Sunday is my favorite.

I list over 1000 auctions a day, every day, and I've played around with days, time, and lengths.

I use the buy it now feature, so alot of my auctions never make it the full five days.

My best days are TUE, WED, and THU. Friday is my worst. I have found that if I start my auctions at 11pm-1am Pacific time I have the best luck. I know it sounds strange to list in the middle of the night, but very few people list after 10 pm, so when my auctions end, they tend to be on the items ending first auctions during prime time, and when they start they tend to be in the first pages of items of newest items first.

It works for me.

I used to be a die-hard 'Ending Sunday Evening' only lister! I've now found that I do well other times and it sure is easier not having to be so regimented. I DO end most everything between 8:30-11 PM EST.

TIMES "NOT" TO HAVE AUCTIONS END (my experience anyway):
WINTER: Friday and Saturday night after 7 PM EST. Sunday before 7 PM EST.
SUMMER/SPRING: Same as above PLUS Saturday Day!
HOLIDAYS when people travel .. long weekends!

Midwestmagazines: HOW do you DO that? I can't even imagine! I use listing software but I am soooo pokey!

Tuesday is my best day, and I've found if I list very early morning, my international sales improve.

Tuition,

I am able to post 1,000+ auctions a day because I sell the same thing over and over, so I never need to design new auctions. I use auctiva, and start 8 sets of auctions in 15 minute intervals, so I have 8 auctions starting every 15 minutes for about 9-10 hours straight.

Hope that helps.

CantWin - What do you list? I think it depends on the category and when your buyer is likely to look.

For example, if you are selling a toy, it might help to list during the day when at-home moms or grandparents may be browsing on eBay. Same for office/business type products.

Mondays are best for me. I've noticed for the past few months that I can sell almost double on a Monday night than any other night. I list aprox. 30 to 50 nightly auction Sunday thru Friday. No holiday weekends.

We've been listing 7 day auctions throughout the week at various times - can't really see any peak time when things go better than others!
