Every auction ended for me this week was won by a newbie. For me that is a real good sign. Last January suddenly all my items were won by high feedback buyers, then after that sales sunk a bit.

I agree, I to am getting lots of newby winners. Almost all are friendly & contact & pay quickly.
Some could be better on feedback though. I sort of nudge them with a follow up email saying, did you receive your package, is everything allright, and then mention that I have left feedback. I never ask them to leave feedback for me though, just hope they take the hint. I'm not a large volume seller so I have the time to do this. I know everyone doesn't.

Not a problem, here is the text without the link:
I imagine A4A is responsible for a lot of this.
For those who think that is competition, a sheet of stamps anyone can walk into the post office and buy for $6.80 is selling for $31.00 - Anyone who thinks they can post this and it will sell for $31 is not thinking properly!

I can't blame A4A on dropping sales because my drop ocurred last winter; September is a slow month anyway. But that's all off topic, I'm discussing the influx of newbies, who have been the source of my success in yeasrs past, are back in vogue.

Do you think it might be in some small part due to all the advertising and press ebay has been getting over AFA? That it might have actually brought new buyers to the site which could benefit us all?

Meanwhile my eBay sales SUCK!!! It's somewhere between putrid and horrible! All except for the patriotic items where the bidding is also starting to taper off. Luckily Half.com and BargainandHaggle are starting to pick up the slack.
