For those of you who think eBay is gearing its site for the small sellers, this article should change your mind.

The real money is with the big sellers. Little sellers equals little profit. Meg quote ( sorta ) "Let them eat cake".

If the Christopher Zyda signed a contract saying he wouldn't go work for a competitor, I hope Amazon gives him and eBay a good reaming. It's done all the time. You sign a contract, you live with it.
Amazon isn't perfect. In fact lately, I think they've hired some laid off eBay cust. support people. But so far at least I don't feel like they keep bending me over just a little farther each month.

Sigh. *everyone* signs the same non-compete agreement saying you can't work for a direct competitor for xx months/years in a similar capacity. Not an uncommon item in an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) in any high-tech company, or even larger B&M companies.
There's probably far more to this story than what's being reported.
Amzn no longer has customer service reps in Seattle. They're all now at other national locations, none on the west coast. Highly doubt someone would leave ebay's west coast ops for points in other national locations.
