Hi--Got this at an auction the other day and nobody (including me) knew what it was. It's 8 1/2" tall, made of iron and is really heavy, weighing in at just over 6 lbs. There's a big slit in the top (I assume that's the top) and a plug in the bottom like a bank would have. (However, the plug looks too new and shiny to be original.) Rusty inside and out. Is it a bank? Some kind of burner? A mouse cage? Anybody out there know?

Hi joycel, from the looks of it, I have it's cousin. My iron pagoda type thingee is sorta brand new China.

When my caveman brought it home, so happy and proud, I said, geez--still has the little oval sticker on the bottom that says Made in China.

It is sitting on the floor of our living room, ready to go to the Flea. But hey--maybe there is someone out there in eBayland that would like an iron candle holder. Believe that is what it is. Like for a votive or tealight candle.

Good Luck!

Maybe I'll hold off for the Flea Market, if yours does well, let me know--and it's cousin will be up the next week
