Woman (girl?) wins auction on 9-23. Tells me her mom will be paying for it via PayPal or Billpoint that night as a gift for her.
Yesterday I am going over my past due transactions and notice that I haven't received payment. Send e-mail to girl inquiring if payment has been sent - perhaps it was Paypal'd to the wrong addy, etc...
Girl says her mom paid right away on the 23rd. Check your records. I check *everything* - my history at Billpoint, PayPal, and my paper records. No payment from her or her mother.
Send another e-mail asking her to ask her mother for the transaction ID number, so I can search at PayPal.
Girl writes back and says her mother gave her *2* transaction numbers and knows she paid via PayPal. I do a search on the ID numbers at PayPal, and they come up as invalid. I search for past payments from the mom's e-mail address - no transactions with her.
I send *another* e-mail, telling the girl that I really truly have not received payment - maybe it got sent to the wrong person, yadda yadda yadda.
No response so far.
So what do I do now? I checked the *moms* auctions, and see she has won about 30 things in the past month and still has a fb of 1. Do you think she is not paying for her things either? I am thinking she is a non-payer, or a scammer, but don't want to jump the gun...
Any advice? Or do I just wait this out? The girl's e-mails have been polite and apologetic, and I've kept my cool, too. I just don't know what I do next... Wouldn't you think that SHE would offer to pay me? But it appears she believes her mom has truly paid me and I am lying.

"I checked the *moms* auctions, and see she has won about 30 things in the past month and still has a fb of 1."
This sad situation is common on eBay. Most sellers will not trade negs and warn buyers because it might hurt their pocketbook.
