Hello All,

I was wondering if I can sell my personal add on eBay Yahoo personals have just gone to pay to play and I have just lost my best venue for finding dates since I spend so much time in front of this 'puter.

It worked out well while it lasted ( a 1/2 dozen dates per month )which is more than any hard core eBay seller needs

I dont have the time to search for a new free personal ad space. Most of them let you post for free but get ya when you want to contact one another.

I was thinking that I could post my personal add for sale maybe start it at 1 cent NR!

Unless one of the AW ladies wants to help me avoid FVF's and wants to get me directly! I long for a woman who understands the thrill of the auction and the subtleties of a good snipe!

I dont know which page would work better and I forget how to make clickable links here so here so I will just put them up and let the ladies decide.

Even though it may seem like I am joking, I am only 1/2 joking. Does eBay have a rule against this? They seem to already have a rule against everything else.

If all else fails, I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the diresction of a good, free personal ad site. I am sure that someone will jump into the void that yahoo just created for themselves.

Thanks - [email protected]

I don't think so. I think ebay rules say looking for dates is a no-no. A lot of states have laws about "dates" for a fee too.

As a female I suggest that you don't mention that you were very happy with Yahoo personals, but since it isn't free anymore you are too "frugal" to pay the Yahoo fee.

Trust me on this one.

Thanks for the tip about my frugality pineyhurst

But i AM a big spender! I always just pony up the ebay listing fee for items that dont sell the first time around since relisting hasnt worked right on ebay for ages and I've never taken advantage of a free listing day because I thought it would somehow cheapen me in the eyes of my faithful bidders as well as hide my items among the tons of dross that people list on those days!

I wonder... is it REALLY illegal in some states to sell a date? Or, is it okay just as long as no hanky-panky results from said sale?

Things that make you go...HMMMMM!

Well ebay does have a services category which currently has a listing for a lap dance or strip tease from a "hot college girl", a guy looking for sponsors for a marathon run, and a nice guy for a good home. Not sure if all these listings are allowed though. Perhaps you could place a listing as a personal chef for women only?

But I really don't think people are looking for dates on ebay. So you may not get many responses anyway.

I believe personals are still no charge at:

Are the chat rooms on yahoo still no charge? The rooms for your local area might be fruitful.

Good Luck!

You could list it under Auctions 4 America ...

fishbowl - EXCELLENT idea!! I like the idea of a personal chef to a woman for a day. I love to cook and am good at it. I manage to do all my ebaying and still cook home cooked meals for my daughters. Sometimes it is a bit tough to crop and upload item pics while you have one eye on the dinner in the oven, but I manage pretty well. I could list it as and auction where I will cook a romantic dinner for the highest female bidder in say, a couple hour drive from my location at my expense and anywhere as long as they pay shipping(R/T coach as I wont fit in a Priority mailer )

Becky - Wow...you make it sound....almost patriotic! I could almost here "Glory, Glory Hallelulja" playing in the background as I read your reply

I am always amazed at the number of creative answers that I get from my fellow eBayers here at AW - you guys (and especially the girls) rock!

My brother swears by adultfriendfinders. They have free and paid ads ~ he chose the freebie. You could try there.

For extra brownie points, donate the bid price to charity.

Dangerous, especially if two ladies who like Celtic clean biker looking dudes get into a bidding war.

I could see him going for 1 mill easily.

First of all,I have to say that you meet the most interesting people here on AW. It amazes me at how diverse we all are and that we have lives other than online or at ebay.

Secondly, I have to say that if any of the AW ladies haven't checked out this man's homepage, they should go there now because this man is GORGEOUS!

Not only is he handsome but he seems to have it all together. I admire anyone who has to raise children by themselves but you don't see many men who do it so willingly.

I don't know why any woman would have let him get away. It just kills me that all of these men who look so good all have to live so far away from me........sigh

PS - I just LOVE long hair!...mmmm

Ooooo, Chris. I think you just blew it with M*g, I seriously doubt the woman would let anyone touch her assets, not even you!

I went to your webpage, too <ahem>. I don't know what's the matter with those east coast women!! I nearly had flames coming out of my monitor! LOL. Hang in there.
