Had an auction end, and payment arrive around September 10.
The package went in the mail shortly after September 11.
Now this bidder is one these folks that think... "If I send the seller a e-mail every second day it will speed the post office along".
The package was talking longer than my normal delivery time. Mail was slow, as many of you have found, and I tried to explain to him that there could be many reasons for that.
So.. naturally the package did arrive, and the post date confirmed when the parcel went out.
The bidder left this feedback:
"Prompt payment rewarded with severe delays. Blame Canada. Blame WTC."
When I first read the feedback I was shocked .. and horrified that Canada and WTC was even mentioned in the same damn sentence.
Naturally I know where "Blame Canada" is from, and if there was a hint of humour in any of the three feedbacks that the bidder left I might have let the ignorance just roll off me.
There was no humour in this, or any of his comments.
Am I being too sensitive?
I'd like to contact Ebay to see if they would pull the comment.. but wanted to run it by you fine folks first.

Was it positive feedback? If so, I wouldn't worry about. It just proves there's another freak out there. Also, don't respond to it either. That would just draw more attention to it. Just keep doing your thing and the positive feedbacks will overshadow that dumb comment!

You can ask. Who knowc, since they are super sensative about the WTC they may.... Worse they can do is say no so you have nothing to lose.

No I don't think you're being too sensitive. Those remarks were uncalled for, not to mention this buyer "confusing" the slow delivery with shipping.
For anyone who doesn't understand:
Shipping is when the seller mails it.
Delivery is when the post office, UPS, Fed Ex, whoever gives it to you.
I also had a remark left in my feedback pertaining to slow shipping because the buyer didn't get their package as quickly as they thought they should have. So I'd say that some buyers truly might not understand the difference.
You could put the shoe on the other foot and complain about slow payment even though it's postmarked a day or two after the auction ends, but takes 10 days to arrive for some reason...
I wouldn't really do that myself, but it's much the same thing, blame the buyer for how long the post office takes to deliver the payment.

Brush this moron off and move on. He's not worth any further thought.
These types of unreasonable folks are coming out in droves lately. I'm not sure of the cause. When you run into these types of people, whether buyers or sellers, sit back take a deep breathe and look at the macro "big picture" perspective of the situation. You'll find that you are best to chuckle to yourself and move on with your life without any further irritation.

Good post BJ
The problem that I am having with delivery is not so much the delay (I paid over 35 days ago and still haven't seen the item), but the fact that the seller refused to respond to any of my emails requesting confirmation that he had received my money and had shipped the item. Turns out, the item apparently has been shipped, but I didn't find this out until I filed a complaint with eBay. Even pulling the seller's info, telephoning him (LD at my expense) and leaving him a nice message to call me back and let me know if everything was OK was ignored.
To me, this is simply an ignorant seller. I'm not sure if I'll ever get what I paid for
