Went to an auction this weekend and was really pleased when I got home and looked up the past sales on e-bay for some of the items I purchased. However, my sales have really plummeted lately (mediocre bids or no bids at all) on items that had sold well in the past. I'd like to list some of this "good stuff" because I could use the cash (!) but hesitate to do it right now if sales are going to be low. On the other hand--we should be entering the Christmas shopping season...one of these days soon... so maybe now's a good time to list. What's your opinion?

I am not hanging on to it. Really good stuff seems still to be doing well but just in case I am putting reserves on it and I usually don't.

hell I may be dead tomorrow then what am I holding on to it for. I know another dealer to sell it Naaaaaa I will sell it now

Cease the day

Quality sells at any time of year. List it and they will come (and Bid, Hopefully!). Of course, we are still doing the Happy Dance as last night's closings were GREAT!!

Good Luck,

I'm listing 'good' stuff, but with reserves and am not listing the 'average' stuff right now. Will try the lower end items a bit later. The sales are not quite as high as in the past, but still satisfactory.

Good times or bad, my stuff goes through cycles, so it's just a matter of researching what is selling at the moment.

AW moderators. You really should check the id's of the newbies to this forum and maybe check out where the PIB's(pains in the but) are coming from and make sure they can't come back and troll.

The PIB is gone! Thanks, moderators for removing that one!

Now back to the topic. I'm selling my good stuff when I find it in my packrat house because I can use the money. I also need the space so that I can buy more.

All my "good stuff" is doing great! One item I was not sure of, I listed with a starting bid of $9.99 and within two days was well over $100. This was a sort of test run since we recently returned from a three week vacation.

I don't use reserves, even on my items that sell over $400.

As a matter of fact, all my auctions are doing pretty good. So I'd say give it a go, whatcha waitin' for?
