I'm considering changing my username from 'chrissyc' to 'mommacude' on eBay, but I'm afraid it would look bad. I have a (42) rating, not a huge number, but I have been 'messing around' on eBay for a few years. I want to start getting serious and I don't really go by the name chrissy any more.

What do you think?

Christine

Go ahead and change your name. Your feedback will stay with your new name as long as you don't create a new account.

Name changes on eBay are no big deal. Go ahead and change -- you'll have shades for 30 days, but that won't matter to most people.

OK, thanks. . .I was worried that the 'shades' would chase people off. But if they can still see my rating I guess it shouldn't matter.

Thanks!

If you have an about me page, you could start that with a simple explanation of the name change, that may stop some fears from potential bidders who see the shades and wonder why you changed.
