Here's some good advice: go to onebox.com and open an account (FREE) you'll get an e-mail address and voicemail box that actually works, and you can list it with ebay, I did and don't have any problems.

onebox.com doesn't have local numbers but for a few places though. Make sure before you sign up or else you'll be dialing long distance to get your messages.

Thanks! hge got to 5 of my auctions before I could block him. I have sent all emails to Safe Harbor, called Ebay and talked to a great guy on the phone about this, and from some investigating, foundthis guy has 6 other id's and all are just as nuts with his feedbacks given and gotten. He called my house and threatened me twice and the local police came over and are calling his home police station. This is so stupid. The guy is a true Physco! It is obvious he has threatened and intimidated alot of people out there. Don't know what elseto do.He also has his bidders emails private on Ebay. didn'tknow you could do that.

Hello,
I also will suggest that you use a gender neutral user id on eBay. I use an abreviated version of my first name (Mel) and often get payment addressed to Mr (they just assume I am a man). I have had far less problems than when I used to use my whole first name. The voicemail has worked well for me, I get an email notification right away then I just email the person back. I have not had any prank calls to my voicmail number.
I have a question about the onebox. I had signed up through zdnet and when I looked just now on zdnet.com I can't find a link to the free email so I was wondering if onebox is a seperate thing now? Thank for any help.

DIAL UP SOME NUMBERS TILL YOU FIND ONE THAT IS DISCONNECTED. NEVER GIVE A REAL NUMBER, IF THEY CAN'T TYPE, WHO NEEDS THEM. THEY FOUND YOU ON THE INTERNET AND THIS IS WHERE IT STAYS. THE PHONE IS FOR MOM. THAT'S IT.

Sounds like a bidder I had a few wks ago. He/she/it became so convinced that anyone in the ky/oh area was I that he/she/it bid on everyone's auctions and immediately left neg fb.

I've used the bidder blocking system by ebay. Simply type their name and if they attempt to bid, their bidding action will be directed to a page that informs them they are no longer to bid on any of your auctions. This information also advises that they are not to bid on any of your auctions under any other ebay names that they may have. A very useful tool to have and use. Block their email addresses from your email box.
Also, does your local phone company provide a service for blocking unwanted numbers? Here in Michigan Ameritech does. It cost about 3.50 per month to subsribe. If your phone company offers it, then it may be a good optoin also.
Good Luck on this one!!!
