Still waiting for this item to arrive, but already wondering how I will handle feedback on the transaction. How about some advice?

Auction won on Sept 4...company check mailed on 9-6...cleared my bank on 9-12...waited patiently for two weeks..no show, so emailed seller...4 days later get a "OPPS! Shipped & should arrive soon..sorry" reply....wait patiently again for 2 more weeks & still no show....email again and wait another 72 hours for reply...."local PO keeps screwing things up and sending things back to me....got your package back...will reship in morning with DC...sorry".....still waiting now, but somewhat LESS patiently!

Pulled his feedback this morning and there is a "rash" of screwups going back several months that have just been posted in the past 30 days....seems this "shipping problem" started in July and August with others, as 25% of his recent FB contains complaints about slow shipping and non-deliveries, so it can't ALL be blamed on 9-11. Interestingly too, is that he doesn't respond to the negs....hummmm?

Assuming the best-that the package WILL arrive-what do I leave for feedback?

my "rule of thumb" is to save negative for if you don't get the item or if it is damaged/misrepresented.

At least the seller is keeping you informed with plenty of emails. My guess is that maybe he's a little slow in more ways than one. Sounds like he's trying though.

I would wait until your merchanside arrives. Hopefully it's soon!

Only once have I left a neg for a seller that sent me an item that was misrepresented. In that case the seller was not willing to correct his mistake.

will reship in morning with DC

I'd sure be asking for the DC number to see if and when it was shipped.

Sounds like a seller self-destructing if it's been going on for several months.

What is the Item? Sounds like they are doing pre sales and do not have the goods in stock.

From what I read here, I would think that they are just lousy at selling or the point above.

Why leave feedback at all?

I also would ask for the DC number and check to see if it was shipped when the seller said it would be. If anything I would tempted to post a neutral with a comment about perfecting a more timely method.....

Valleygirl,

Your last post has been deleted - perhaps you could email the question as an alternative - we can't discuss buyers or sellers or provide information that may identify them.

Thanks,
Sara

I would neg. and I feel it is deserved, in this case.

Hey! I think we must have bought from the same seller! I bought a beauty product (thats all I will say so as not to identify the seller) Aug 6th, paid immediately with Paypal, they emailed me on the 19th to tell me they just shipped it? (this is bad enough!) Then it never showed, I gave lots of time because I am in Canada, I finally email (where is my package) no reply, then I pulled their contact info, and filed an inquiry with Paypal. Then they email telling me how sorry they are and will reship, then another email saying it got sent back to them because it needs a round date stamp or something and they are reshipping. I finally got it last week and the kicker is the stuff doesn't even work!

Same thing, they have a rash of negs and nuetrals all since I made my purchase and they have not had an active auction in over a month. At least not under that ID.

I have never negged a seller before, mostly I just sell. But I am really looking forward to doing it now, I am just working on the best wording...

DC# has been requested...see if THAT comes thru.

The item was a vintage toy so I doubt if there was ANY chance of it being a supplier problem.

From the feedbacks I have read, I think it is more complete disorganization than anything else....some are GLOWING and others are downright nasty about timeliness....eight to ten weeks for delivery!!??!! He is pushing 7 weeks with me right now.

Figure benefit of the doubt will kick in leave a neutral IF postmark shows the date he claims.....NEG him if he lied.
