Yes, and I've noticed that one of our many beautiful deadbeat eBay bidders has taken it upon themselves to grace this auction with their useless bid.

Disgracefull....

My husband would like to bid on that, I'm sure. He thinks Martha Stewart is hot.

LOL

Yeah, I think it's a little weird, too. I think his interest was sparked during that commercial which shows her in a bathtub.

(Betcha you're really retching now!)

Rainybear...about the ONLY thing scarier than that would be having Richard Simmons show up at my house to be my personal trainer.....

OR Meg coming over to help me with my auctions!

Me eating lunch with Martha Stewart...reminds of the commercial for polaner allfruit, the one cousin in his horribly fake southern accent saying, "please pass the jelly"

How much would that autographed set of books auction for???? hmmmmm

LOL Cin! I know *just* what commercial you are referring to!! Perfect!

Me eating with Martha though - I'd have to say "please pass the Pepto Bismol"! (And that wouldn't be from the food - that would be just from having to sit at a table with her)

Is it just me, or does Martha and Meg look like sisters?

I wonder if you have to buy the books before MS will autograph them ?

I saw her show only once years ago around Thanksgiving. At first I thought it was a parody. I turned it off when MS opened her
"dish room" door to choose the plates to set the table.

Raise you hands. How many people have a separate room with built in floor to ceiling shelves to store their 50 sets of dinnerware?
With enough shelf space to not stack the dishes? (Stacking causes scratches, warns Martha sternly.)

The only part of the show that was worth watching were the cats.

HGTV has started showing her program.

I sat in stupefied silence the other day as she did a whole show on how to iron a shirt(as though she's the only person in the universe who knows how to iron a friggin' shirt).

Then, when the show was over, I sat in stupefied silence as I realized I had just sat through a show on how to iron a shirt. Grim.

JUST SAY NO TO MARTHA!

Hope everyone taped the "ironing" show. It is great to watch when you can't sleep. Also, for some reason, my dog is fascinated by all of her shows. Must be her voice.

Geez, does everyone hate Martha Stewart?
I and obviously millions of others think she has been a tremendous boon to taste and decorum over the past decade (otherwise she wouldn't be as successful as she is), as well as proving herself to be a very savy businesswoman... How many other middle aged housewives turned thir career into a multi-billion dollar business?
I know what really pisses you off... Martha managed to auction something off on ebay's A4A that didn't require her to pay the postage!
Now THAT's clever!

The tom and I watched a show where she was having a carpenter build a computer desk in her closet(they never covered how the computer was to be powered as nothing was mentioned about wiring the closet for electricity. The tom thought he saw a power strip but that would mean the cord was running out of the closet to the nearest outlet).

After about five minutes, the tom commented that the carpenter looked like he was ready to nail her mouth shut...

What bugs me is how she talks down to her audience. She is so bloody patronizing, as though she is the only person to ever do something properly.

Well, she's not dumb. Got 100,000 $ worth of PR free, and someone else paid 19 grand for it. I am sure that the bidder and Martha are totally unaware that a third of the working folks in my state never see 19 grand in a year. There is really something wrong with our values and the spread of life styles.
