wowwow85... she certainly didn't deserve this. She has been harassed to no end already by this lady and now this?? All because of a message in the message board?

luvmy2bears... have you had any correspondence with eBay on this yet?

I feel really bad for you...

There is a seller on Ebay that was NARU'd many times over disgruntled people on the message boards.

He has a great site on Ebay fraud (I know that is not the problem), and his page has phone #'s for Ebay, and a link to e-mail him. I have taken the liberty of e-mailing him myself, and invited him to this discussion, in the hopes that he will be able to offer you some advice.

I'd give Ebay a call. If he is not able to post here, perhaps you can contact this person via the mail link on his page. He is still very active on the boards, and will hopefully have some great advice for you.

He has a great page http://homestead.juno.com/brandon-luke/Untitled1.html

Best of luck.

And people wonder WHY so many sellers will not post with their selling ID's.

Hey mods..wowwow85 is being quite rude to Luvmy2bears. Unnecessarily so, why call Luvmy2bears names?
Got to get some phone numbers and call them up, sounds terrible.
Keep the board posted.
Get a new ID if you are the same here and there, it's just the season for anger management issues to get out of hand for some folks.
Best of luck!

I'd get a lawyer. Spam is illegal, auction interference is illegal (restraint of trade), electronic harassment is also illegal. If she is out of state, there could be federal statutes to bear on the matter. Let a lawyer do this one so the bidder gets criminal and/or financial spanking.

That's so nasty, hope you'll be able to resolve it somehow,
In your original post someone wrote
About posting ID, I had different problem then
You but I posting ID would help a lot,
Can anyone please tell me how to get one?
Thank you.

no offence to luvmy2bears but I was that dumb once.

I posted to a thread over here on AW and I stuck up for another person that was having problems with another poster over a PayPal issue.

About two hours later I start getting emails from the email address they got from my auctions. the next two days I had a few hundred auctions end with 500.00 to 900 dollar bids in the last few minutes of the auctions They used a snipe program and several user names to place the bids on my auctions. I contacted ebay and they reversed ALL the fees including the listing fees. they also locked off all the user names. I guess in the rush to kill all my auctions the retard actually bid on a few auctions with his real name and I requested the user info for all the names that had bid on the auctions, all were bad except for this one.

I won't go into all the details but at one time he was looking at having to pay for all the items he bid on with his name and maybe even with the bogus names.

I have horses, dogs, cats and even house plants that are smarter than some of the folks you will run across on ebay.

It wasn't always this way but it is now, protect yourself and your seller ID.

eBay fees are like being slowly pecked to death by chickens!!!

LAIOCHKA, a posting ID is just a second Ebay ID that you use solely for posting on the boards.

All you need is another e-mail address to get one. Many ISP's allow you more than one e-mail address, so you might not even have to register with a credit card to get the second ID.

You are allowed as many ID's on Ebay as you wish, as long as they never interact with each other.

lovemy2bears: Where did you go? I'd still be interested in hearing what you were NARU'd for? What they say you did, anyway.

As for wowwow85, reading his/her last response to the original thread [http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=432238], it's obvious you are in the dark about the entire situation.

Once I made the mistake of complaining to a seller about an inflated shipping charge.

He went ballistic on me, and gave me a vague warning, without saying what he was supposedly about to do.

People don't want others' help or opinions, unless asked for. I'll certainly operate on that basis from now on.

Good luck to you with this.

sheesh...you too wranglers?
I think there are quite a number of angry folks out there. I remember when I first started here at AW, there were some agressive folks who really went overboard, I suppose nothing has changed, except the mods are better.
I have always remained anonymous since seeing those early days of "action jackson" kick butt fighting on this board, but it's pitiful to see folks act that way.
Hope all goes well Luvmy2bears.

Up until about a week ago, I had a good rating on eBay. A ton of postives and only 1 neg (I refused to send US cash to a seller named "eBay Sales" with a post office box number for an address).

Then, I got suspended for a Rightful reason, sort of.

In my haste I had placed a bid for an item, and on reviewing my "My Ebay" bids, I noticed that the seller indicated "US only" in her TOS. To avoid any bad feelings after the auction closed, I retracted the bid. The listing still had around 3 days to run. The seller sent me a very nice email saying she understood. The item sold for a great price to a lucky US citizen.

eBay sent me a very nice email saying my priviledges were suspended for 14 days due to a bid retraction and a bid manipulation (?) violation.

After trying to explain the situation to them, I finally gave up. I instructed them to terminate my priviledges for ever and ever and purge my CC and bank account info from their database immediately.

Ever try to get eBay to fully cancel a membership? Another friggin' nightmare with this idiot bunch

OK so here's the latest scoop. I was NARU'd because I made a STUPID mistake. The reason is bid shilling. But not exactly.

I sell with 2 ID's. I wanted to email this person (the bad guy) with my other ID, however I haven't used it in so long that I couln't even remember my email addy. So I bid on one of my own items so that I could get the email addy. Then I cancelled my bid.

The bad guy noticed this an reported me for bid shilling. Ebay NARU'd me.

So, OK. my bad. It's only 30 days, I can deal with that.

But what irks me is this. I reported her for auctio iterferance, incorrect contact info, bid shilling, and harrassment (including threats of harm to me & my family). As have 3 others users.

What happened to her? NOTHING!

And this was ebay's response to my reports:

Hello ********,

Thank you for following up with this information.

Unfortunately, we are unable to intervene in the dispute between you and
the member you are reporting. At this stage, you should continue to
block their emails addresses from being received into your email box and
report any harassment to their Email Service Providers.

We want all of your transactions on eBay to be pleasant and successful.
On behalf of eBay, I would like to wish you success in resolving this
situation and in all your future trades on our site.

Regards,

Deanna

luvmy2bears,

I'm glad to hear you found out why you'd been suspended. Though, I'm sure you are sitting around pounding your head on the table saying, "dumb, dumb, dumb!".

Use your 30 days to get ready for the holiday sales! And hope yours are great one!

The same thing happened to me, but this person will get just rewards. Just don't let it bother you.....all of emails have been sent to postmasters and safeharbour/. Thats all you can do fo now, but Ebnay has to give you a reason or they have to let you back on.
but I did not get NAUR...sorry for your bad. Like it says in the post above, use the 30days to settle in and get ready for the holiday sales .....so look at it as a blessing, a time to do other things! As long as this person knows she/he is getting to you, they will keep doing it.Love ya!

This sounds something like the situation of the coworker who was NARU by eBay. She sold several items to someone who paid by personal check. Her TOS stated that personal checks were held for ten days. Before the ten days were up, the buyer began e-mailing demanding to know where her items were. The seller responded that she was holding them for funds clearance. The buyer reported her to eBay for fraud. The seller shipped the items, and had the buyer to sign for them. Even after she received the items, the buyer e-mailed bidders on the seller's auctions, telling them that the seller had kept her money and never sent her items. The seller reported her for auction interference, but Safe Harbor did nothing. Then started the strange bidding and retractions on the seller's auctions, in addition to the continued e-mails to bidders. Safe Harbor actually advised this seller to drop her 700+ positive feedback seller name, and get a new one, and start over again, so that the nutso would leave her alone. She did. She racked up over 200+ positive feedbacks, with only one retalitory neg on that id.

Then one day out of the blue, she was suspended by eBay, because apparently she was found by the fruitcake, who reported to eBay that the seller had never made good on the old fraud complaints. The seller sent them a copy of the signed receipt for the merchandise. They refused to reinstate the seller.

An eBay employee e-mailed her privately, and said that he believed that she was in the right, especially since she had almost 1000 positive feedback and only a couple negs. However, he said, at the time eBay had gotten some very negative publicity due to some high profile fraud cases, and an expose on internet fraud by a major news organization. As a result, eBay had gone through and suspended thousands of people, and were not letting them back on, so that they could tell anyone who asked that they had gotten rid of all the bad guys.

What does the "Safe" stand for in Safe Harbor?

piggypoosmom-That is quite a story. Isn't that interference from ebay? I never go into the ebay forums because you have to use your auction name and I don't think that is right, so I just stay away. I have only been in their a couple of times to read. I stay away when I have nothing to say in the areas of my interest. All that is done in those boards are friends talking with friends. No information. I also have quit bidding on ebay. I can't tell you why but I just have a bad feeling when I start to bid. I know that there are good sellers on there and if I must say so myself I also am a good seller. Good Prices, great shipping charges, I don't hold Personal checks and also happy to refund money when I am in the wrong, which I am sometimes.
I am sorry for luvmy2bears-I hope it stops for her/him soon. 30 days is to long especially around the Christmas Season. I wish her/him good luck.

If you ever forget your e-mail address again, go to the site map, and click on "change my user information".

Enter your ID and password, and all the info for that account will come up.

Hope to see you back soon!

So will you be able to follow through with the auctions this person won from you? As I understand, they are not actually planning on sending payment...or have I missed something in this continuing saga!?!

Best wishes and "remember the lesson but forget how you learned it"

Sincerely,
