Why is this even possible, I just received a negative feedback for "not contacted after winning". I did contact this person as far as I knew, but don't I have 3 days to do it anyway. This person has been registered for 10 days with a (0) feedback, me 4 years and 4,000+ FB. Why in the world should anyone even have the capability of leaving a negative so quickly? Do you think I can convince eBay to remove it due to buyer stupidity?

I'd certainly give it a try. Meanwhile, I'd send the village idiot the url which shows where the buyer/seller have a minimum of 3 business days to contact each other.

Heck, I can't file for NPB until 7 days has passed, why the devil doesn't ebay change the feedback to the same 7 day minimum? Duh!

Oh well, they can move to -1 and have their first NPB registered on them. Couple more stupid acts like this & they'll learn a new term..NARU.

I will certainly give the removal a try, but I won't hold my breath.
Eventer..I know I should have waited to get one of your finely worded emails to send to the village idiot, but my emotions got the best of me, and I blasted them a harshly worded note......It just makes me angry thinking about it. They can leave a neg, I still have to wait another day to file a NPB.

Not in this case. This village doesn't need anymore idiots, we're overstocked.

My one and only negative (I currently have over 2000) was left 36 hours after the auction ended. Because I did not accept PayPal.

My response : Auction end 5/9. 5/10 emailed me said-I do not want it! Relist - I am not paying

No one has ever asked me about it.

Just respond to it with the facts!

I am almost positive the FB won't be removed although, I would probably consider a nice big neg in return.

I would respond to the feedback left for you saying that FB was left 2 days after auction ended, WTF?

Okay, don't say WTF.

This is copied and pasted from ebay.

If you're the seller or the high bidder - now what?

Contact each other. The seller **** and the high bidder *** should contact each other within three business days to discuss payment and shipping details.

So, they should have contacted you prior to leaving feedback.

With nothing much to lose at this point, I'd also (of course!) give them back a neg and relist the item, blocking their ID, and refuse to do biz with that person. Plus be sure to file your NPBA & FVF Credit forms. I can't imagine why someone would think that a seller would want to do business with them when they act like such a jerk!

The winning bidder receives at least 3 emails from me, ebay, and my listing service immediately after auction ends.

You would be suprised the number of bidders who claim they never received end of auction email. I have heard of aol blocking, but ALL three?

Ebay doesn't care about your negative. Accept it. It just makes the bidder look stupid. Don't forget to give him a negative so other sellers can be warned.

I left a neg., they now have a rating of (-1). I guess they didn't bother to look at feedback, with over 4,000+, most of them are about quick shipping..that would have been a clue that I just don't blow people off. eBay should not give newbies the right to leave neg. feedback until they have at least completed 1 transaction. I also requested eBay to remove the neg., we'll see what happens.

I had the same thing happen on Sat. The auction had been over for 2 days, the following morning I had sent the winner an end of auction notice etc. The next day saw the neg. feedback.... buyer never contacted me etc. I emailed them again with no response. I did contact ebay and explained the situation. There response was a link to feedback rules and once placed blah, blah. It is not me that needs the rules. This person also has 0 feedback. They finally emailed me Monday PM. (their first contact with me other than the feedback) They said " Sorry for not responding until now but I use the computer from work and we have been having email problems for a week" Do you belive it!!! I fully explained to them what feedback is etc. and they just said sorry but if I buy from you again I will give good feedback. No hope for this person.

"...but I use the computer at work...."

Why does this sound like it would translate into something along the lines of:

"....and I got caught by my boss, screwing off surfing eBay and didn't have time to THINK before I hit a submit button! Sorry to have shafted you...."

Sorry about the episode. You did the right thing. Now just move on with your successful operation.

It's a useless battle to try and defeat the long line of morons that circle the globe.
