My sales from last week were TERRIBLE. The week before they were GREAT! Seems like the middle of the month is slow for me under both of my IDs (I sell different things, that's why two IDs) Anyone else experience middle of the month blues?

I don't know about selling, but there were two things I had on my watch list that ended tonight that I wish I had bid on. They both ended at less than half of what I expected.
Gotta go and see what other goodies I can get cheap.

Since July August, getting bids is like pulling teeth. Agonizing. Things are still selling with the occasional sleeper but this is certainly a new and painful sort of October. The only way I can insure a steady flow of income is to work to the point of collapse. Of course Sept 11 changed everything, and people being afraid of the mail certainly doesn't help but I think it would have been a difficult year in any event. I have been through a few economic cycles (not on eBay) at this point and I know things will improve, but this is why no one says "Yippee a recession!"
That said I remain resolute and even optomistic about the future.

We're sailing on rather well. We have about 15 auctions going now, all with BUT IT NOW options and about 9 out of 10 sell.
Mostly $5-$10 items.
Average 4-5 per day.
(stuff that we make for under $1.00)

Not getting rich but it's something to do!
(gives me $100.00 or more a week to play with in our PP account)

Anything 'good' I will start listing again in a few weeks.

Getting a little better. I stopped selling for a week or two on eBay the night I calculated my profits, and I figured I'd made about $5/hr for that nights ending auctions. I started again slowly, 4 auctions ending last Sunday - 100% sell through and profits were good. I have 5 on now w/only 2 having bids, but one has reached its reserve and if the other ended at where it is now, I'd be happy w/the selling price. The other three are low end books, and I'll be happy if they end w/the opening bid by Sunday.

My sales are much, much better than a couple of weeks ago! I am very encouraged. My page views are way up, too. So, right now, I am a happy camper.

They are not up to pre-9/11 levels but they are getting there.

Just when I thought sales were back on track, the past week has been the pits. Most sales are going at the opening price. I have noticed that more people are using Buy it Now.
When compared to the same week last year, hits are down 60%, sales down 35%.

On the bright side, I had 10 auctions end last night, 9 with bids - one of my highest completion rates to date (though I admit a sample of 10 auctions ain't exactly scientific). On the downside, only two items received multiple bids. Since I start my auctions at an acceptable price, I'm still happy - especially since most of these auctions sat with no bids until the last day.

This week has been terrible for me. I have a sell through rate of about 75%, but this week managed about 40%. Many of my auctions only had 2-5 page hits, which is highly unusual. I buy most of my stuff for under 2.00 and sell it between 10.00 and 20.00. I'm afraid to keep buying.

Seems like mine are a OK, thats about the only way to truthfull describe it. I had to adjust from the 1.00 opening back during the spring.
I open at at reasonable profit so I am satisfied if it sells at all. I use to sell 75-80%, now it's running about 50-60%. Ocassionally something goes for well above expectations, but rarely these days. Money coming in is slow too, it seems to take much longer to paid too.... The 10 day payment terms are running more like 15-20 days or more????? Any ideas on that one????
It's not mail delivery either they just arent mailing until the last minute. But if I get paid at all I'm happy!!!!
