i would really like to know what the heck ebay is doing. i just received emails saying that the favorite link i put on about me page sales stuff. it's not even my store page, it's just another place i like to buy things from. the email said it's not okay since this other store sell things and that avoided paying ebay fees.
i'm now required to delete it from my about me page or they will take further actions.
don't know if it's a joke or what. anyone else getting these emails?

Yup. I got one because I had a link to mypoints. Said I had to remove it within 24 hours or they would delete my about me page.

Sounds nuts - ebay says you CAN have a link to your web site sales page, so a link to another's page should be okay.

i think mypoints is really popular, you can probably check it out at mypoints.com although i'm not sure if they sell anything.
yup, i'm positive the email is from ebay. it looks like they are eliminating all links that goes outside. next time, i'm putting my one and only allowed links to http://www.ebay.com
hopefully, that will be under regulation.
oh, i was given 24 hrs to correct it. it's a good thing i checked my email today. They count the 24 hrs from the time they sent it out (which is at 2am for mine).
a friend of mine got his account suspended because he was too busy to check his ebay email for 2 days and had an outside link on aboutme page.
it's seems crazy that ebay has the time to think about tiny things like this.
