Seller does not accept Paypal, Visa, or MasterCard. They prefer Money Order, but wonder if there is a quick and secure way to pay from United States to Canada? Is there such a thing as International COD?

No, the fastest way IMO is through the regular mail. Global Xpress is supposed to be fast, but most times it's slower than regular mail.
Registered Mail simply allows you the piece of mind that the funds made it to the seller.

Forget registered---use a Flat-Rate Global Priority envelope (small) $4.00 to Canada---but a 60¢ lettermail will get there too.
Just buy a Western Union money order--they can cash them at any bank ---and they are cheaper then USPS International money order...and pay it in US funds

What about BidPay? It's safe and secure and the seller can ship as soon as they receive their second confirmation which is usually only a couple of hours.

I am a Canadian seller, and my bank accepts US postal money orders, so check with the seller, I know that a lot of Canadian banks don't.

If you get your money order at USPS, get the pink one (international), not the green one. My banks will not cash the green ones. Some banks will but for me I have to send it back to the buyer if they send me the green ones. You are safest with the pink ones from USPS or western union, or a bank m/o, etc... Basically if it says "negotiable only in the U.S. and possessions" like the green ones do it could be a problem for the seller.
