I haven\'t closed an auction since Checkout, so we will see. There is a note stating I can\'t use it, hope no one does, but will have to learn if they do.
As for the ease, I don\'t know, I have had people pay me with Paypal and Billpoint immediately after an auction. Many times before I can even get a letter to them. Just not sure how checkout can help.
I do prefer Paypal over Billpoint, because my money is available to me immediately. It may be Billpoint or it may be my bank, but I have to call my bank to see what items have been deposited, or wait for bank statement. Of course, I use a bank account other than my regular checking out. This was because I didn\'t want any surprises to my regular account.
One Ebayer posted on another board her buyer had forgotten the postage charges and had to send it on another payment, thus costing her an additional Billpoint fee. They may straighten this out.
I am sure it is me, but I don\'t understand the connection with taxes and checkout, but will admit it could be I didn\'t really follow the post too well. As far as sales tax and income tax is concerned, I already pay that and all that is necessary for entities to keep track is for Ebay to demand a SS#. Do they already? It has been so long since I registered, but I didn\'t think that was a requirement.
Whatever happens, I will try to roll with the punches, but Ebay is always reminding us they are just \'a venue\'. If so, the method of payment should be ours and ours alone.
Really, I think the reason is to increase their Billpoint fees. Just can\'t see any other reason.

I have had 6 auctions close with Check out, and I already hate it. I have asked E-bay to take it out of my auctions. How are other people doing with this? The customers are getting confused, getting one message from Checkout and another from AuctionWatch. The shipping isn't included in Checkout either. What are others doing to get rid of this feature?
