First off let me say that I am so mad about this that I could SCREAM!

8/26 - Auction for two small items closes.
I sent at least 5 e-mails (not counting eBay's payment reminder & notices of non-payment) regarding combining items to save on shipping, payment reminders, etc. She never paid.

During this time I checked on her activity periodically and she was bidding & apparently paying for other auctions (based on her feedback).

9/26 - After 30 days (I feel I was more than fair) I filed a NPB and left two negative feedbacks that said "*BEWARE* Gave her 30 days Never paid for item after NUMEROUS requests *BEWARE*" I felt this was accurate since she had not paid in spite of my repeated e-mails and eBay's reminders.

10/30 - She leaves two neutral feedbacks. One saying, "I didn't appreciate your negative feedback to me" I can live with that. The one that has me seeing red is "You were not very understanding concerning sept 11"

She lives in the midwest. The tragic events of Sept 11 were never mentioned. I did take them into consideration and that was a big part of the reason why I was willing to wait for payment. I cannot believe that she has the gaul to say this. Part of me wants to reply to her neutral and call her on the carpet for using Sept 11. Part of me says to let it go. I just hate the implication that she has made that I was a cold, ruthless, heartless b**tch!!!

Your wise guidance would be appreciated

I don't know what you have in your TOS about due dates for payment. But, given a lot of people use 14 days as a good benchmark, then you could consider something like:

Pmt Overdue before 9/11; Don't use tragedy as excuse

If ya leave NEGS for slimeball scum-sucking DEADBEATS...ya have to be prepared to receive ye ole pie-in-the-face from them!

Until feeBay fixes the FB system, it is counter-productive to leave negs! Greed-bay has scheduled a fix for this problem when either HELL FREEZES OVER or WHEN DUMBO GROWS A BRAIN, whichever occurs first

You were very patient, I would have negged long before you did.

Her neutrals are not going to damage you but I think you should reply to the second one,

"tragedy was never mentioned as an excuse, just no payment"

Ya win some you loose some.

I neg bidders also for non payment. My neg is simple "Never Received Payment."

Many as you do include the *Beware!* portion but I think it only serves to get negged back.

I am surprised you got neutrals. Most, not rightly, would have negged you back.

Ya know, and I do not know when the person bid, 9/11 affected people here in the Midwest. In Iowa here there was a company that had 200 people I believe in the world trade center working on cleaning something. After words we had many people working out there as councilors.

I would let it lay, don't go asking for somethig you do not want. It does not sound like a person that would start bidding on your auctions and causeing problems but you just never know.

If you keep your feedback impersonal, it takes the wind out of their sails. This is a sample of what I leave as negative feedback:

EOA 9/25/01 emailed 8 times, did not honor auction.

Everything stated is a fact and it is hard to refute facts. If you put attacking words in your feedback, that is what you are going to get, attacked.

Let's see. Auctions ended 8/26.

WTC and Pentagon attacks on 9/11. Approximately 2 weeks between the end of auctions and attacks.

Unless she had a crystal ball and knew what was going to happen, I fail to see the connection between the two.

I would post a response, calmly stating facts.

As a seller, I DO check feedback of bidders now, because of the rising number of deadbeats. I would appreciate knowing about a bidder like this so I could add her to my blocked bidders list. Using this feature more and more lately, because I'm getting rather tired of wasting my time with people like this.

That blocking bidders feature is the only one eBay has added in the last 2 years that I actually like!

JMHO

Edited to fix those darn typos again!
