Use Netscape and it will work. Or else wait several minutes before clicking on that final page and most people say that works. But Netscape definitely does.

Or download the Opera browser from www.opera.com. This light-weight browser makes revising listings on eBay a trivial task.

I too, have had trouble with revisons on eBay with IE, and had to play the 'waiting game' more times that I would like to think about. I am thinking about downloading Opera 6.0, but am worried about several things. Are there any problems to having more than one brower on your system, such as which one do you start-up with, and is there an interaction between the browers. Or does it just set up as a different icon that you can click and go to. Thanks for any and all constructive inputs, as I am a self taught senior citizen trying to stay someone near the current technology envelope.

If you are having problems revising your auctions on eBay, please do not worry. There >is< a browser that will allow you to revise them without any problems. It is called Opera. It works under Windows, Mac, and even Linux.

You can download it free! Simply go to www.opera.com.

On the left-hand side of the screen, select "Free download". The website will even detect your operating system.

You then have a choice - the full download (with the Java virtual machine) or the lite version. If all you are doing is editing eBay listings, you really only need the lite version. You can also let your connection speed be your guide.

After the file is downloaded, double-click it to launch the installation. It is straight-forward and fast.

Afterwards, simply connect to your ISP, click the Opera icon that is now on your desktop and log-in to eBay. Revising your auctions will be a snap.

When you launch IE, it may ask if it can be the default browser - tell it "yes". That way any HTML file will be opened by IE.

There is >no< problem with having more than one browser on your desktop. They do >not< interact with one another.

I hope that helps!

If you do need some more info, send me an e-mail at [email protected].

I had this problem for years, and then about 2 months ago I finally took some advice from the board, down loaded Netscape Browser, and never had another problem during a revise.

Personally outside of revising, I have no use for Netscape, but when it comes to revising on eBay it is the ONLY way I can get through a revise.

Bet it will work for you too, and it is free.

If you are on AOL, IE will already be your default browser. When you download Opera and install it in its own directory, just make sure you don't choose it as a default browser if prompted. To use it, log onto AOL normally and then minimize your AOL screen. Then just click on the Opera icon and you're in business.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
