Hello,

I'm trying to figure out if I can use Auction Manager to post my auctions without having to use the Image Listing service. I.e., can I just pay the auction listing fee but host my images elsewhere? It seems the answer is 'no' or I'm just not looking in the right place.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. I host my images elsewhere. When you launch your auctions from AW, the first picture is free. You will pay 10 cents + 1% FVF. I like it a lot.

You will probably want your free picture because that will trigger the picture icon on Ebay, which the pictures in your description don't.

I just have one picture on AW which I use for all my auctions to trigger the camera icon on Ebay and let customers know there is a picture. It is a sign that says, "Thank you for looking."

when you list through AW and are on either of their payment plans, you can use unlimited number of pictures on your auctions without paying an extra fee.

it is when you list through ebay that you can only have one free picture.

i list through AW and also host my pics here. nothing could be easier for me. i rarely only have one picture in my auctions and have never been charged an additional fee.

i am not sure how to add a picture stored at another site, i am not that knowledgeable with html.

Why do you want to have your pix hosted somewhere else? If you list at AW the pix are free. If you already have the pix somewhere else it's a simple matter to download them to your PC and upload to AW.

I thin you will like AW. It's not perfect but has saved me countless hours at the computer.

My understanding on AW is you get 1 free pic on the pay as you go plan. 2nd is 0.10 yes/no? Anyway I like to have a thumbnail that is different from the enlarged picture and located in my adv more flexibly that AW allows. Each his own. But you want at least 1 AW somewhere to trigger the Ebay camera and put a pic in your AW store.

just wondering-do the pics launched from AW look better then the ones on ebay? I have had pics on ebay-but they dont look that great-is there another site where the pics look good?

ebstuff, I think you are talking about the Standard Plan, where you pay once a month?

This is the plan I am on and you can have unlimited number of pics in your auctions at no charge. Just the .10 per auction to list.

If you list from ebay and just store your pics at AW, then you pay .10 per pic.

I really like the integrity of my pics that are stored here at AW. It is so easy to upload and store them. Much easier to write the auctions here too.

but as ebstuff said, to each their own.

I don't know what the pictures launched at ebay look like but I do like the AW pictures. I like the way they enlarge and then if you trigger the first picture to enlarge it takes you to your storefront which I use as a gallery only. I had the storefront, and it only brought me trouble so I don't use it any more. I suppose the advantage to the storefront is so that you don't have to relist your items, all you do is when the unbid auction goes off you can list it to your storefront. Does anyone do that? If so, do you get any sales from it.
