My first problem with a buyer. She won an auction on Dec. 27th - I sent usual email with her final cost with shipping and ins. and she sends her address. So then I wait and wait - nothing comes. Sent a couple more emails and finaly on Jan. 11th she wrote that she sent it and it came back to her that no one by that name lives there. So I told her to send it again and gave her the address AGAIN. Tonight I sent her an email that I was going to file for reimbursment for FVF and it would trigger an email to her from ebay. I did tell her that if it was on the way I would wait 2 more days. She wtote back tonight that she HAD sent it again and it came back to her AGAIN. Now I am not dumb - it didn't have time to make a round trip that fast. Besides I've lived here for 35 years and if it had come to this town with my name it would be in my hands now. Anyway she paid using paypal. I am not registered with them and I'm not going to just for her. I suggested she go to BidPay and use that. I got an email from PayPal that she had paid. Do you think she will get her money back from PayPal? She seems nice but I KNOW she is snowing me about sending the money twice in the mail.

For those of you that use PayPal you will probably say to register and get my money. I gave my methods of payment in the auction. It is not long and complicated.

Can she get her money back from PayPal?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The buyer should be able to reverse the payment if it is UNCLAIMED in their transaction log.

Thanks paypaldamon - I really don't want her to loose her money. It won't be claimed so she can get it then.

I agree that your buyer is definitely snowing you about mailing a payment. It doesn't matter what name is printed on the envelope. Unless there is a forwarding order or hold mail order for that particular name, it gets delivered to the address on the envelope.

"Return: Addressee Unknown" LOL!

Yeah you would think she would have done her homework before saying it made a round trip in 5 days! If I don't get a M/O today through BidPay I'm going to file on her. She made her bid in the last few seconds so I think she just got carried away and then didn't have the money. She's had plenty of time I think. I want to be done with it. Don't have time for this kind of stuff.

"think she just got carried away and then didn't have the money"

Might be fun to see how she will come up with the five dollar fee for bidpay.

Postal m.o. might be better for her, takes about the same time in the mail.

trai - with a postal M/O I only have her word ( not good at this point ) with BidPay I Know it is sent. Twice she said it was sent but I still don't have it. At one point I did tell her if she had a problem we could most likely work it out. She didn't take me up on it. Would you actually take her word if she said she sent it AGAIN?

". Would you actually take her word if she said she sent it AGAIN? "

At this stage I will have to say NO. The only reason that I mentioned postal m.o. was that at least it would be a safe payment to you.

I would not trust payment via paypal or billpoint with this person.

Best to just file for your fees, they are not worth your time.
