Hello,
I came across Moneymover.com, it sounds like Bidpay but I've never had anyone pay through them. Do you have any experiences?

I had never heard of them until today when I received an email saying they are sending my money at the request of a winner.

I am NOT mailing the item until I receive the payment because I have NO idea who they are. I get payment from PayingFast.com in 2-3 days. I get payments from BidPay in 2-3 days. MoneyMovers says 4-5 days! So we'll see how long it takes MoneyMover.com.

The website says they issue Travelers Express money orders. My spouse works for a company owned by Travelers Express. So I like that!

I do NOT understand how they can charge extra for using a credit card, as it is illegal to do so in many states. They charge $4.95 plus 2.25% if over $100 and using a credit card, or $4.95 plus 1.95% if over $100 and using a Checking Account.

That's all I can tell you now. I will let you know how long it takes to get the funds.

Interesting

I clicked the contact us at the bottom of the website and sent an email asking how they can charge extra for credit card use. I explained that I did not wish to register only to find out they have been shutdown due to this extra charge. I received an automated responses from Auctiva Sales. I do not know anything about Auctiva Sales but I have seen that name around.

WOW the automated response said 1-7 business for reply. They already answered! That was fast.

But their reply to how they can charge extra for credit card use was lame!
Here it is:
Western Union BidPay does it and has been for years, as
well as us. I'm not a lawyer so I'm not sure of the exact
legalities but I believe it has to do with the fact that we
aren't charging extra for using a credit card but for all
orders, and that it is more for the extra risk we take in
accepting such an order.

"Western Union BidPay does it " - seems like since they do it, we thought we could too.

"and has been for years, as well as us" - Has MoneyMover.com been around for years or is that a misleading statement?

FYI : Payingfast.com also has those same fees. They will never come after you for any chargebacks so I think it's more of a self-insurance plan.

I personally have never heard of moneymover.com I will have to take a look.

As a seller, I recently had an experience with moneymover.com that left a sour taste in my mouth. I had a buyer that paid moneymover.com well over $500.00 via credit card and we were both notified that two money orders had been created. (Apparently they limit Transactions to $350.00 per money order.) The next day, I received ONE email stating that the first money order had been sent, however, there was no notification that the second one had been sent. It took 6 days for the first one to get to Arizona from California via first class mail. When the second money order didn't arrive in the days following that, I tracked it on the moneymover.com web site only to see that it had indeed been sent. My buyer and I became greatly concerned as his credit card had been charged and moneymover.com's representative claimed that BOTH money orders had been sent out. At that point, we emailed the rep back directly and pointed out that it had been over ten days since the money order was supposed to have been sent, and that I never received an email notifying me of the fact that the second money order went out. We received an email back from moneymover.com later that evening stating that they had some technical difficulties that caused only the first money order to be sent out, that they were sending the second one out immediately. At that point, I got an automated email similar to the very first confirmation that the money order had indeed been sent. Moneymover.com's rep offered no apologies whatsoever and wasn't the slightest bit sypathetic to our plight even though she admitted it was clearly their fault. The second money order did arrive via USPS Priority mail three days later (surprise, surprise!) and all appears to be well now. However, I would not recommend using this company to anyone ever again after all the extra work that my buyer and I had to go through to get this straightened out with absolutely no apologies whatsoever. Moreover, I am very upset with Auctiva, as they put the moneymover.com icon into my auction without asking. I urge each and everyone of you that use Auctiva (eBud) to contact Auctiva and complain about the extra advertising as they failed to obtain permission to place it in the listings. One more thing, Auctiva also put in a link for sniping software in my listings as well and that is against eBay rules...I'm just waiting for the day when eBay notifies me that I'm violating their rules and shuts down my auctions. Buyer BEWARE!
