i had a bid retraction this morning. this is the fourth bid retraction this buyer has done this month. her reason "just got".

she uses ebay like the mall. she bids on the carousel type items she can and if she can snap it up cheaper she just retracts her bid on the other one.

I have blocked her as a bidder and sent her an email that ebay may suspend her if she keeps abusing retraction feature in this manner.

did I overreact?

my email was polite and to the poing. just informed her that her reason was not an acceptable one by ebays guidelines and that I was blocking her from bidding on any of my auctions in the future.

You did what I would have done. There's nothing more you could do. That user will eventually be suspended.

Report them to ebay, otherwise they never learn.

she emailed me back "found at the local flea market on sale. Life goes on"

she uses ebay like a layaway plan. bids on everything then retracts the bid after she changes her mind or finds it cheaper

she won't be bidding on any of my sales and I am planning on listing some items that she always bids on just so she can't
