we all have problem with aol pics,i am not aware they are working on it.please keep us posted.
you need to use the ebay ipix picture along with your aol so your bidders get to see something, something is better than nothing.
if you reload, the aol pic sometimes show up,try it.

I've not had this problem before, or seen it here. I"ve seen other problems with AOL (like people not getting your mail and i think I'm experiencing some of that now too). I have been using the eBay pics, but they have to scroll down to see it..and they don't obviously, since they are writing asking me where the pic is. I need to find another place that lets you put them up that is affordable. I have Road Runner..time to read the instructions..they must have space for me.

there is also a time lag -it takes a while for your aol changes to show up on ebay.if you delete a pic,it would still be on ebay for a while,if you add a new one,it takes a while to show up on ebay.
ipix pictures are horrible, may be we all need to shop for a pic hosting service like AW,free means fee someday,or gone someday.
no one can give away services/products free,it would cost us more work if they go under with all our pics.

I began selling of ebay in July 1997 without a picture. By 1998 I was using FTP space from my AOL account. Back then I think you could have only 3 or 5 account names, but I used up all the FTP space I could but it was confusing trying to keep it all straight. Back then it didn't seem digital cameras were ffordable so the develped pics took up more space and more time to upload to AOL. (I get sick thinking of the "old way" we use to have to do it) By late 1998 and into 1999, it was so CONVENIENT that AOL's FTP program was down for most of Sunday into Sunday nite and they were always "working on it". To this day, noone can convice me that it wasn't intentional, although I can't prove it. AOL had never preconceived their FTP space would be used by eBay sellers which strained their systems. I can't belive they are still having problems. I've never regretted going to AuctionWatch since many of my auctions have more than 3 pics.

not toybuyer on eBay

I know about the lag..although if I clear my cache, the new picture shows up. This is the first time in about two years, I've had a problem with AOL. I really wold like to know more about using my Road runner. I may end up back on AW. I can' tafford to not have pictures. I have always loved AOL's ftp, but I'm not thinking too kindly of them right now.

I use RoadRunner's 5 meg free homepage for pics.

Never had any serious problems with it. The only problem that has come up is their servers periodically re-setting. This causes your old and deleted pics to revert back to your page. It has happened twice in 5 years (that I have noticed) and generally lasts about 1-3 hours.

Once the severs goes back to normal, the pics you had on the page come back without a problem.

Reamond, can you be a littl emore specific on how you get your pics up on RR? I signed up for the web site..and it appears, I can't just upload them like I do for aol. Am I reading that I have ot use another program (such as Front Page to actually make a website to put the pics on? Do you know off hand how many 400 X 300 pixels pics you can fit on 5 mb? Thanks for any info.
