A few weeks ago I stuck a lot of a childrens videos on ebay. The videos were from a TV show called The Big Comfy Couch. I started off the bidding low with free shipping (media Mail of course). A few days later I got 2 emails from the same bidder..here's how they read:

1. Hi,I would like to bid on this couch but in the "dutch" rules it indicates that you must have a 50+ feedback and the two that are bidding do not,so with that said can I still bid? I would like to get one of these couches, can you e-mail me a picture of the diff. kinds?

2.
what is the size dimension on this couch? also what does dustbunnies mean? Also color?thanks..........

If these emails were not a joke..either this woman needs more sleep or a brain transplant.

She probably doesn't have any children and never heard of the TV show.

Maybe a quick reply stating you are selling children's videos ... with a blub about the dust bunnies.

If you keep in tongue in cheek you might snag a bidder for life!

You DID list them under videos and not furniture, right?

LOL..yes..it was listed under Children's Movies and in the description I had the title etc. What cracks me up is who on earth (even if they never heard of the show) would think I would sell a couch for $6 with free shipping??

I get the same type of thing all the time. I sell mostly knitting books, and put on 9 or 10 picutes for each. At least every 2 weeks I get somemone who want the one in picture so-and-so, in size such and such. Most of my auctions start around 2.99, do they think I am going to knit them one for that? They are listed under Knitting-Patterns, and I always sure I mention BOOK in the listing, but it makes no difference!

Perhaps the descriptions are too long and they don't have time to read them.

The best was a vintage art book I had on ebay where the question to seller was "does the book contain any pictures or statues of nude men? If so can you send pics"....not knowing what I was getting into I replied "yes but my camera is not good enough to take detailed pics"...reply:"doesn't matter, just give me an idea"...so I did, I sent two pics of nude statues...immediately auction went up to almost $70... I then disrobed and asked wife to snap away with the digital camera...I had found a new business

No I'm sorry, but that was me in the teapot. Next time I think I will try a coffee pot. I think the teapot made me look a little bigger in some places, and a little smaller in other places. I am big daddy you know.
