I tried to make my insurance payment with my Paypal card today. The cost was $73.00, I have $103.00 in my account. The payment was rejected! I don't have another way to pay and the money is due today...

Why is my card being rejected? The money is there!!!

Sometimes it is as simple as resubmitting the card and they'll accept it. If not I'd call the number on the back of the card for help.

There's a new option to consider.

PayPal added a free feature for premier/business accounts last night you might consider (looks rather neat.) Log on to your account and click "Send Money" then click on "try BillPay." Then click on "add Biller." If your insurance company is one of those listed ( Allstate, Nationwide, GEICO, etc.) you can pay them right out of your PayPal account or verified bank account.

Thanks a million uaru! I tried the Billpay option and it worked. I am thrilled with this new feature!

I tried to pay my eBay fees with my PayPal card early this morning, and the card was rejected, even though the balance was more than sufficient to cover it.

I think it might have had something to do with their maintenance downtime last night (just guessing).

I think Paypaldamon needs to look into this... it is pretty embarassing to have a card denied, especially when you KNOW the cash is there...

You could take your card to a bank and withdraw the money you need. You will also need your driver's license to do that, though.
