The refund wording is confusing some users. Our product team has advised me---
Could you get the word out on the boards about the refund button? Apparently users are confused -- some sellers think that PayPal is telling them they need to refund the payment or that their buyers asked for a refund. Rather, it's an optional feature that sellers can choose to use when appropriate. Seeing a refund button does not mean that you are being asked to issue a refund.
In other words...only you can issue a refund, and it is based on discussions between you and your buyer. It is only showing the option as being available.

perhaps put a message somewhere on the website that states above might help set some "confused" users straight

How about a second option "KEEP" which allows users to keep the money and this option removes both buttons from the screen for that item.
Also, it might be easier to simply add a column of radio buttons and put the REFUND button down at the bottom of the screen. User can pick one of their transactions and then hit REFUND.
Finally, why wasn't this implemented as a blanket ACCEPT/DENY option that many have been asking for?

Here's another problem.......having used the refund button today, as that someone double paid me, when returning to "my account" screen suddenly this refunded persons name was replacing the names of others who had paid me for other auctions. When before having completed the refund the correct names were listed.
It only changed the names of those that had the refund button still available next to their payments.
It threw me but when checking the actual transaction the original payee's name was not changed.
