last year I was advised not to have any auctions end on super bowl day or evening. I followed that advise. I remember on the boards the following day there were quite a few people that were pleased with their auctions that ended that day. This year I decided to list auctions that were won and never paid for and quite a few re-lists and some photos I had already hosted but never got around to writing them up. I did not have a 100% sell through (never do) But very pleased with the end result. How did everyone else do?....Maybe we can get back into focus here! Hope everyone did well.

Reenie.......I was pleased with how my auctions ended also.....I always list my auctions so they are posted and then end on Sunday nights and truthfully had not given it any thought that it was Super Bowl Sunday......but was pleased with my items that ended and even had a couple go much higher than I would have expected.....

All my auctions ended last night. Had a 30% sell through, not complaining. And 95% paid last night via electric paymt. All item's are on their way to their new home. Was a good night for me!!

I was very pleased with the number of auction hits and sales. All sales were paid for and shipped out already.

I had a terrible auction last night, but I was online shopping a little, so others must've been too.

I sold 100% but only had 4 items up! They did better than I expected, so next year I think I won't be afraid of Super Bowl Sunday. I would still hold off on launching auction items that appeal to male sports fanatics, though. They're either celebrating or moping or drunk (I think) after the game.

Good point, roadsmith. With the TV tied up by the game, the ladies might be doing extra online shopping.

I was thrilled with 100% sell-thru. 40 auctions ended and some ended much better than expected. Profited 157% over cost. Wish all weeks were like that!
