I learned today that if you are a seller and if you whine enough to eBay YOU CAN HAVE YOUR BUYER'S NEGS REMOVED! Isn't that great? This makes me feel all secure and comfy/cozy inside...<br />

Not true. Heaven knows I've whined more than enough and they haven't done a thing for me.
However, maybe it wasn't a truly fine whine.

Hm. Did you threaten to bring a lawyer in? Think that one would work?

heh heh.
It won't work for the negs you'd really like removed, but you do have at least one that mentions your name. IIRC, eBay will remove feedback (good or bad) that contains the recipient's name.

You are losing me. If leaving a neg in someone's fb--is that "using a recipient's name"?

Nah. I work for a paycheck and don't own even one stock. But that's grand compared with what some other poor American schmucks are dealing with, I suppose. I appreciate your concern.

masujoviga--
There is a relatively famous pic of a fireman carrying a baby out of the Oklahoma City bombing/murders scene. He did, unfortunately, eventually kill himself.
Penpal of yours?

The policy may have changed, but it used to be that if a proper name is used in feedback, the recipient of the feedback could ask to have the comment removed. It didn't have to be negative feedback, just feedback for someone who doesn't want his/her real name used. I think they do the same for responses, too--and I seem to recall that if a response is removed, the original feedback disappears.
bettylou: The one I noticed (left Jan 28) wasn't from weebit, but I didn't read every comment she left.

"fine whine" reminds me of the joke we "gentiles" used to tell about BYU:
What's the BYU coed's favorite after-dinner wine?
"WHEN are we gonna get MARriedddddddd?"

nycyn,
The seller involved has my sympathy with what she had to deal with, and I'm glad eBay removed those feedbacks. This has been an interesting soap opera, and after watching all the episodes I have a clear opinion on who is the villian and who is the victim.

nycyn is not a victim, she is a mindless twit who is looking in somebody elses life for her 15 minutes of fame.
she should get the picture that nobody here wants to read her rantings.
nycyn, if you call your local mental health clininc they will be glad to make you a new appointment and get you back on your meds.

NITWIT!!! You're the one who needs help...
Ok here's what you have claimed so far:
1. Wannabepaid to "volunteer"
2. Former "Ebay Stockholder"
3. Wannabe "Interviewee"
4. Self proclaimed "Cook"
5. Self labeled "Massager"
quote from your message "coming down to be fed or massaged by people like me".
Here's what I added after reviewing your sad messages.
6. Lousy "comedian"
7. "Ebayer from Hell"
8. Self believing " I am greater tham thou"
9. Seller who is "morally inept" i.e. interview auction
10. a truly gifted "Bovine Feces Artist"
Thus that gives you 10 personalities thus far... Your first name isn't Sybil, is it?

Anyway, that a seller can whine to ebay and get negs removed so easily is really creeping me out. This means anything is fair game out there now, there is no accountability, and FB is a rack for Hallmark cards. I don't what y'all think but I think this is Baaaad for the Biz.

This is interesting. I posted this last night and it came back to me from AW with a helpful friendly link to eBay.
The topic is-- the value of eBay anymore...
***meanwhile, miss primarily doggie-toys managed to get not only her negs
removed, but my responses to her obnoxious negs, leaving me with negs
and
her scot free. welcome to the Discount Mall! i'm working on the "me "
page--I no longer want t be associated with ebay. and they never even
asked me what the problem is. doggie toys prevail!*****
(Unless I posted this to another thread. I sure didn't send it to customer service, bless their hearts.)
Meanwhile, my responses are back in my feedback, somehow, and those combined with her negs are fine with me.

Add "FRAUD" to the list of personalities....
To all who want to know why ebay removed the feedback because nycyn gave fraudulent contact information. That is all ebay needs to remove feedback. nycyn knows why they removed it in the first place, she just didnt want everyone to know the real reason why it was removed.

Oh, so I suppose ebay had absolutely no reason for removing it?. The phone # you gave ebay was a PAYPHONE : That don't receive calls... Ebay gave you a time limit to get correct contact info or they would have gave you the boot. At the time you gave your negative feedback your contact information was FRAUDULENT. Ebays feedback removal policy states that negative feedback will be removed if contact information is fraudulent. Go read it and weep !!!
