In my email today was a note announcing my second suspension from the site for no reason.

I haven't been on eBay for months partly because I picked up a stalker there almost immediatly after I first started there. He even admitted to being the cause of my first suspension saying he had sent stuff to safe harbor and had his friends do it. At the time I forwarded that email on to safe harbor but that didn't do a thing and I had to finish out a 30 days suspension although fortunately the seller that was dragged into it with me was able to get reinstated somehow after only five days. This was three years ago.

During the incident I found out this stalker is schizophrenic and obsessed (Really). Even though he was suspended from eBay he kept coming back as new IDs and selling and shilling and bidding and not paying.

At first I reported him because I was worried for the bidders and sellers who were getting stiffed. Ultimately I had to go through Cyber Angels to get this person to personally leave me alone.
http://www.readersdigest.ca/mag/2000/10/health_angels.html

Since then I have found and even reported some incredible fraud on eBay. But even though I have requested it eBay will not share the information they claim to have that caused them to suspend me.

Now out of the blue months after I stopped doing anything on eBay (partly because jeez what a crappy experience it has been) I am permanently suspended because for some reason they have associated me with this other original user who was my stalker and that I turned in.

As they state:

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below:

Previously suspended user - Account belonging to a previously suspended user.

Our records indicate that your account is associated with the following Previously Suspended account(s):

XXX (MY STALKER)

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account.

I DONT GET IT! I have been registered there since 1998.

WHAT RECORDS?
What records could they have that all of a sudden now they can suspend me like this?

Why do I have to prove my innocense and why do I have to keep paying for this stalker that was courtesy of eBay in the first place.

They let glass sellers rack up millions in fraud and countless others and they pull this. I wouldn't care but they are playing with my reputation. If they won't drop someone who is stealing millions what must I have done to get suspended?

I did call them but as "Sabrina" says, there is no one to answer the calls in that department. You can only email them. That means I have to wait days in between each non-answer and the last time they did this they didn't answer me the entire time.

What can I do? I am mad, sad, frustrated and incredulous.

Dude/Dudette, you have zero feedback -- why were you suspended? I got lost reading your long email...couldn't understand what you were talking about.

Look, I don't know why I was suspended. That is what I don't understand. I haven't done anything on eBay for several months so I don't understand why I would be coming up on their radar to begin with. The only thing I can tell from eBay's email is I am being accused now of all things of being this other person.

I took apparently way too long explaining because I thought if I didn't include it all if I could there would be questions.

If you haven't been stalked then you don't have any idea how disruptive it is to your life. I guess it is easy to make fun of things you don't understand.

I don't have zero feedback on eBay. I have read messages here off and on over the years but never had a need to post (always afraid I would get these sort of replies) if that's what you mean.

I am sorry I bothered you.
Nevermind.

Oh, ha ha ha!
I get it. You looked up my new auctionwatch name up on eBay. But, "wo bu zhi dao" is Chinese for "I don't know" and "I don't know" who wobuzhidao on eBay is. He or she signed up in December 2000. I signed up in 1998. I said that in my way too long message.

Well, I won't bother you all no more.

Xin Nian Kaui Le!
(Happy New Year)

If you had a transaction with Stalker it's likely eBay is figuring you to be a shill. Keep trying until you reach someone who will listen. If you emailed eBay previously about Stalker hopefully you can show eBay their error.

You might ask here for the names of some of the customer service supervisors. They have more clout than the drones who answer your email.

Thank you twinsoft.

The transaction I had with "stalker" was over three years ago. One of my first internet experiences. His first account was suspended over three years ago (and I had nothing to do with it). I haven't even thought about him for a year or so. I haven't done anything on eBay for months.

I don't get it.

In fact after talking with another friend it turns out "stalker" is back on eBay as yet another ID and this ID is not suspended.

So why am I?

Yes, I would love to get some names of the Customer Service Reps. And what to say. I seriously don't know what to do about this but I am annoyed that eBay can keep rubbing my face in this AND keep giving him power. What could I have done to get NARU'd if I haven't done anything? Why does eBay get to NARU people on no or bogus evidence yet lets others shill into the millions over glass?

I do appreciate the help.
Thanks Again!

I believe eBay's shill detection software looks at transactions and other data and determines a possible shill bidder. That is, I suspect there is no real human input. Given a user ID or email address, the program just spits out names and then eBay reps suspend that person. This is their new security/anti-fraud feature, so now they don't have to actually *investigate* any case. Good luck. Do a little investigating on your own (like on the support board) and try to find a support rep with a little something between the ears. Most of the old support reps have first name email addys like:

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

and of course there's always

[email protected]

Thanks again twinsoft.

Excuse me if I am daft here.

Are you talking about the support boards here or on eBay?

If eBay supposedly I am "prohibited from using eBay in any way" so do I have to "sign-in" for this?

Are the names you gave real people or do I need to find my own?

Oh, Pierre. I believe I am too small for Pierre to care. Maybe if I go through Planetfeedback?!

Still I don't understand. All my transactions and any activity should be long purged from eBay servers. It has been three years since the stalker's ID has been NARU'd so I just don't understand why now.

I once found a seller that had been suspended for not sending stuff. Had like 50 negs out of 500 or so. His "ME" page which never goes away after getting NARU'd had a link to his web site. The web site had a link to his current eBay ID which was quickly racking up the negs for non-delivery and it wasn't hard to find the shills jacking up the shoes he was selling to over $150 (would be $75 without shills). There was evidence all over the place linking this seller to the shills including contact emails on his web site that were the same as his shills which were also on his current ID's "ME" page. There were two more sellers all with links to his web site and all bidding on each others auctions.

And, eBay said there wasn't enough evidence.

Any other help is surely appreciated.
Thanks again!

Wow "stopwhining" you are a bitter individual.

And, apparently unable to follow a conversation.

My guess is that you are probably one of those who does the scams at eBay.

In reading some of the other topics here I discover that others are reluctant to post here currently because they are afraid of the replies that they will receive (don't worry I know I have already lost you "stopwhining" as I am sure your eyes are glazing over at the big words I am using). It would seem that stopwhining is one of the biggest reasons people don't bother posting.

679 posts in 3 months?

Seems you are a TROLL!

Goodness knows this place isn't what it used to be 6 months ago for whatever reason. Is it you stopwhining?

I would bet that a lot of people have clicked "IGNORE" stopwhining posts.

That is just what I am going to do.

*POOF*
You don't exist anymore.
NA NA NA NA NA!

The good news?

I have been reinstated. Thanks to phone numbers I found on one of these posts months ago; my message was heard.

Thanks also to twinsoft for answering my plea.

And thanks to the person at eBay who listened.

For my part I apologize for mentioning the mental situation of my shadow. I was attempting to point out that he doesn't reside in the same reality but it was a cheap shot and wrong.

For those who might not know about the glass scam at eBay:

You also might check out another timely story:
Getting scammed on eBay - MSNBC - Feb 11 2002

I haven't read it as MSNBC doesn't like my choice of browsers and likes to freeze my computer.

As far as shoes... (a different group)
I am sure if you spent $150 on shoes you would want to receive them. Especially if you probably should have won them for $90. All those who scam bidders lower the bidder pool for those who don't. It really isn't in your best interest to ignore it.

signing off...

the reasons why few people respond to your thread is that they dont understand what you are talking about-you assume eeryone is following your life history of shoes and glass and stalked and be stalked??
it has nothing to do with me.
