Hi everybody -

I am new here... just arrived... I was looking for an auction management program, and this one seemed to be a good option...
my other option was Auction Trakker... I wonder in anyone can throw some light on the choice between the two.

Thanks in advance for your share.

Joe.

i dont use any of these services-ansdale,aw or auction trekker.
make sure you can afford to eat all the fees from ebay,billpoint/paypal,auction watch/ansdale/auction trekker/ and what else?

For what it's worth, I just love launching through AuctionWatch and for me the extra small fees are well worth it for the convenience. I have several friends who've been asking my advice on selling on ebay and I've told them to first read TAGnotes about all the problems people have with ebay auction launching and then consider paying a little extra for AuctionWatch's services. I am totally sold on AW.

Personally, I would say avoid AW. They offer services that are available elsewhere for a lot less money.

I use Auction Tamer for listing. It does everything AW does, but is not subject to the problems that AW is, since it is not web-based, and AW is. Their customer service is outstanding, and they provide regular updates to their program free of charge. Best of all, they do not tack on a per-auction charge like AW does.

AW cost = $0.10/listing for the first 50 listings per monthly billing cycle and $0.05 per listing for each additional listing per monthly billing cycle
Final Value Fee: 1% (Max $4.95 per item, No minimum fee)

My cost = Monthly Subscription - $7.99 USD per month
1 Month $8.99 USD
6 Months $39 USD ($6.50 per month)
12 Months $69 USD ($5.75 per month)
One-Time purchase $249.95 USD

I use my own domain for image hosting. I pay $25/year for 20mb space, 10 email accounts, and my own domain name. AW charges per image, every time you put it in an auction.

AW Cost = $0.10 for first image and $.04 per additional image with FREE super-size images

My Cost = $25/year, with no restriction on where I can use my images, plus my own domain name, plus 10 email accounts, plus unlimited email aliases.

I have yet to see something that AW offers that I cannot get elsewhere cheaper.

Hi:
If your going to use a service this is the one! If you use AW the best thing is to utalize all they have to offer. Start to finish. Not lust launching, but make use of the post sales options. Everything goes smooth with less problems. Been with them going on two years, no trouble! Have tried others but always come back!

I could be wrong, but I believe that picture hosting is free when you are using the AWpro and signed up and launching with their listing service. Pics only cost when all you want is picture hosting. In addition, you can go ahead and have multiple pics, but you don't get charged the extra 15cent per pic fee by eBay. Isn't that right?? I would think that offsets some of the cost of listing w/AW.

Just use AW! I've been with them forever and it makes listing easier, especially for us html challanged. When they started to charge, I spent several days looking for options and found nothing comparible. I list alot of the same auctions and love to be able to just go in and relist,or just copy an auction. I don't use any post sales stuff as I like to deal with my customers myself. The image hosting is reliable and the pics look good. Anyone notice ebays ipixs? They look terrible. If you're new to selling and listing, just pay the few pennies AW gets and save yourself the grief! My storefront gets alot of hits, and sometimes buyers, but mostly I use it as a showcase. I stll can't figure out why my customers will go to my storefront, see the same item cheaper, and then go back to ebay and buy it now? Wish someone could figure it out! LOL

I have used AuctionWatch for years, and whoever said its solely web-based is not correct. They do have a client you can download to your PC and launch from there and I've never seen it crash or become unstable.

Andale is the best web based service, sorry to say. When I used it 1.5 years ago it was very cheap and I had a personal representative who called ME every so often to talk about my auctions and profits and what not. Now they have great service! AuctionWatch is good, but Andale is probably better.

I'm strictly a "small-time" seller and am totally sold on AW. I'm "computer-challenged" and have found the services I use (picture hosting/auction launching) to be so easy even I can do it with no problems. I especially like the auction-launch feature. I can create my auctions when it's convenient for me and schedule the launch for later. I liked it better when it was all free but the "no hassle" and ease-of-use makes it worth the fees for me. Welcome and good luck!

BayPal offers everything AW does, including scheduling launches.

$10.00 a month, that's it.
