If any of my eBay customers have been trying to reach me by e-mail, I've just realized I'm not getting messages! AT&T says they're "working on it" but, if you've been trying to contact me, I'm not ignoring you! On the positive side, I'm not getting any of that nasty porno spam either...

You need to use a secondary email service. If your main service is down and your email bounces, eBay can NARU you for having bad contact information if a bidder reports you to Safeharbor. I recommend that you use a free service like Yahoo or Hotmail.

I use my about page for my guarantee and also special announcements like the one you are having. Mine was down for a day, I inserted in big red letters my Hotmail address and told them they could ready me there. You can also call AT&T and they should be able to tell you what mail is in your inbox. They have axcess to that. Well at least mine does. When mine was down all I did was call technical support and ask what mail I had in my mailbox and they told me.

I use yahoo and they have a way that you can "forward" your email to your regular account in Outlook or wherever you use your regular email. That way if my cable modem goes down or I go on vacation I can take the forwarding off and still read my email on the web. I learned this the hard way. They even have an autoresponder which I set up when I went to France and couldn't use my laptop. It automatically sent my response "sorry I'm out of town and will get back to you as soon as I get back" email to everyone that sent me an email. Unfortunately I scheduled about 200 auctions to launch at the end of my vacation so ebay's listing confirmation received 200 responses from me - I assume they just went into limbo somewhere.
