Of course they were closed when I tried to contact them. I had 10 auctions running mostly with one bid ending on Tuesday. I checked them through here like I always do and they were all closed. You click on one and get invalid item.

I love it, no notice, nothing. Just NARUed "I always wondered what you guys were talking about when you used that term" Now I know first hand!

I will talk to someone today and let everyone know.

Wonderful Ebay. Call them and they tell you to send an email.

I sent an email now I wait......

Call them and they tell you to send an email

That'd be funny enough for dialogue on a sitcom if this wasn't such a bad situation.

Did they send you any sort of warning emails recently?

That is what I was wondering. Sounds like that someone complained about something and one of the over zealous safeharbor people made you NARU. I had that happen to me without warning once. Good thing it was with another ID I rarley used anyway. But again it was without any type of warning or explanation. I hope you can get it resolved. Do you have any links or descriptions in your auctions that could be conceived as not allow on Ebay?

It was a test email to my account that bounced. That's all it took. They send you a link to change it but since you are NARUed you can't change it. Then I emailed back to change it to another email address and they send back more information that I don't need.

In about November when I started running auctions after a long break, I noticed that I was not recieving any of the automated emails for launches and auction ends etc... I still don't get them to any of my email addresses. Even though my account is the catchall and I get any emails sent to my domain no matter who they are sent to unless the email exists and I check them all anyway. I emailed them about it and heard nothing. I was able to change my email address and it still did not correct the situation.

So they test the email and since they can't send an email from thier system, they NARUed me. I know it has something to do with the stupid text pager notification that I setup a long time ago and I canceled but still think it is screwed up somewhere.

Anyway, Here I sit waiting for another stupid reply and my account will not be unblocked.

Thank God I do this for fun and to clean out my closets and not to make money. Even though the extra income does help my savings.

What sucks is after they get it straight, I will have to relist all of my auctions and then pay them for my fustration.

This is a good reason to use one of the web based email services for auctions. People are forever screwing up or changing their regular email service.

I did not screw up my email service. I run the email server myself and it works perfectly.

Well, I managed to get them to unNARU my account. I changed the email address and am trying to get them to test the email for me from thier servers. I just sent myself an email through ebay to the new address and it got to me so I hope it keeps working.

I will keep everyone updated.

Thanks for all of your help.

Looks like they managed to straighten everything out. By creating a totally new email address and changing it on my ebay account. They say it is OK now.

The thing that aggravates me the most out of all of this is that with one email bounce, they NARU you. No research, no testing, gone. I had been auctioning successfuly somehow during all that time. Did anyone at ebay have half a brain to think I was getting email somehow? Guess not.

Oh well, it got me another week on a bunch of auctions that weren't getting any bids anyway. When they ended my auctions they refunded the fees so I got to launch them again technically for free..

Thats the end of this story....
